Stay tuned.

Re: The Bee's Had a Meeting
"There is only one honey bee queen, and there are now thousands and thousands of workers. There comes a point when the crowd is so great, that not all of the workers have access to the queen. They are no longer receiving her pheromone signals, and so for them, she is non-existent!

This induces within these workers the need to create a new honey bee queen.

Soon, we shall have swarming bees! Why?

There is no space in the colony for more than one queen (oh, and over-crowding in a hive can also encourage swarming). Before the new queen emerges, the old queen takes off with part of the colony to establish a new nest."

so...let the swarming commence?

I think this was more to do with poking at a bee and trying to make it move.... the bee went outside, and there were thousands of them... they turned, and buzzed in a quite intense unified 'buzz'... they took a shape of a giant single creature....

This is something that I would not particularly want to mess with... at all...

so the beekeeper pokes at the old queen and says you need to clear out and make way for my new colony, ya ornery old hag ... and the old queen suddenly says...'hey wait a minute, this is our home and we don't need you here, stealing our resources. i may be old, but i am not dead yet. my hive was fine before you and will be fine again once we chase you off.'

LOL! just stretching my imagination in a speculative fashion. all metaphorical of course.

poking a drone is like poking the queen via a proxy, no?
all for one, and one for all.

honestly, i'm just throwing stuff out there. i am not even sure why this is so fascinating...probably because (bee caused) i am just another crazyB

if that is so, then you are right...i've built up a tolerance to the smoke LOL so i am sure others have too

and if the conditions become bad enough, why fear the fire...death may be preferable to living in misery.

I AM a beekeeper: Man is superior to bees when they are in their natural state. Bees have maintained their natural state; MAN has not. Buy a bee hive and learn !

Re: The Bee's Had a Meeting
It’s like a scene from The Birds, but with bees instead.

“If you make some very fast movement, like me right now, they become more aggressive.”

As though on cue the bees began to sting him.
