Good post Red. I think there will be a period of quiet, while alliances are strengthened - rearming takes place - and hezballah waits for the right political winds (to stir up more of their usual shit). Neither Syria or Iran have any interest in taking on Israel for the time being (because they can't win) - and politics demand that they occupy the high moral ground, at least in as much as propaganda will allow. The budding Iran - Russia alliance seems to be splitting the ME into 2 distinct camps - each with the ability to blow each other to smithereens. There could be a clash before these new realities are allowed to mature, or it could settle into a new middle eatern cold war - with US and Russian blocs - just like the old days..
