If it does not produce immediate results, it is because the world of the soul and spirit is more difficult for us to access than the physical world. But you must not become discouraged; if you allow yourself to be discouraged, it means you have neither science nor discernment. How long does it take to grow a lettuce? And how long for an oak tree? But how long will the lettuce last? And how long can an oak tree live? The same laws apply to our inner life: if you are content with just a lettuce, you will have it very quickly, but it will soon wilt. If you want an oak tree, however, you will have to wait a great deal longer, but it will live for centuries!
