News 12 Long Island has learned a small plane has gone down in Syosset.

Nassau fire officials tell News 12 that the Cessna went down at 192 Cold Spring Road.

Police have ordered all remaining students at Syosset High School and Berry Hill Elementary School to be held inside their school.

"Syosset School District confirms a plane crashed in the vicinity of several of the district's schools."
