because they know they can forgo advancement in their careers and building a home while they travel and see the world and spend their money on booze, clothes and night clubs because when it comes time they will find a guy who already did all that for them and will latch on to him.

It is about a fantasy of finding the bigger better deal (replacing whatever loser they ended up with). You cant find that swimming in the same pond so other ponds, swamps and mushy waters are needed.

Not me. I'm a homebody. I don't like flying. I do, however, like road trips.

But I friggen hate going to any major city or "destination" where there are hordes of sheep everywhere. I'm not too fond of strangers anyway, I already know too many people/can't fit them all in the schedule as it is.

Also, all this travel costs money and requires you to work harder. Work steals your time. Soon you are a slave.

Our 22 year old daughter was in Brazil for Christmas, Hungary in February, Cambodia and Vietnam last month and Poland this weekend. I think it's great for her and I be be bummed if she didn't want to travel.
