Live smoke grenade found in checked bag at Charlotte airport

Federal agents found a live smoke grenade in a checked bag at Charlotte Douglas International Airport recently.

Smoke grenades are considered hazardous materials and are banned from checked and carry-on bags, the Transportation Security Administration said Friday in its weekly blog.
