First, the word of god is not the bible...first chapter of john clearly states Jesus is the word. Also, the greek word Logos refers to God's self expression, or revelation. So the bible isn't the word of God, however it is the cradle of the Word, It points to the Word and helps us discern how the Word interacts in the world.

Creator, God does not use double standards. That would be cruel.

I would not be cruel to direct you to the words of Christ Jesus.

We're all evil and cruel at heart. We do good when we can resist that demon and control the evil and cruelty we have inside.

That demon says "Be good." to distract us from doing good. Settling for "being good" is evil.

Just asking the question itself demonstrates something incredible - that a divinely created human could be completely FOOLED into giving away all of his power and soul's sovereignty to a deceptive belief system that somehow made him believe that he's born a flawed sinner, can only find salvation OUTSIDE OF HIM and needs to be good to get to heaven.

Perhaps these wise thinkers are trying to wake you up to question things you believe not because they are true..but because you never had the courage to verify the truth and/or needed to fit in so you just went along...It's one of the two.
