Would it be weird if I carried my cat around in a Cat backpack in a small town?

I tried carrying my kitten in a fancy bag in the pretentious condo building. She got pissed and caused a scene.

Check Amazon or google: cat backpack. I learned about them from GLP when some people were evacuating from floods & talking about how hard to is to carry a pet carrier when trying to evacuate in emergencies. Then several posters linked to the backpacks for cats & small dogs, saying it leaves your hands free.

Never would have known they about them without GLP. And it makes sense to have your hands free in emergencies.

I met a black dude in a California food pantry one time and we were bullshitting and he had a backpack...

Sure enough dude opened it up and had his kitty in there, he was perfectly happy came out of the bag ate some turkey and went back in.

I was pretty shocked a cat could find that situation desirable.

There are cat ladies. And they like their cats in the house with no freedom. Cats by nature like to get outside once in awhile if not all the time.

Men like cats but they reason to give them a place where they roam around with freedom at will. Whether inside or outside. Men just don't want to confine the little bitches to the house with no freedom, because men can be sincere and loving that way. That is why you usually don't hear of a "cat man". It is usually a cat woman!

I saw a man with a cat on a harness and a leash at the coffee shop. It was pretty cool. I got one for my cat but it was too small and she didn't like it. She's a long hair, I think her fur got caught in it.

If you started your cat in the backpack as a kitten, it might would work. Since you haven't, the cat will wonder if you have lost your everloving mind. Don't worry about the people in the town, they already know that you are a little out there.

someone i know (a man with cats, dogs, horses) told me about growing up in colorado springs where some guy used to ride around all over colorado springs on his harley with his cat.

doubt that would fly now and the cat must have been super trained

We had our canabis harvest festival two weeks ago and an american was here with his cat on his shoulder. Looked to me like it was looking to run away. My dog could hardly believe her eyes but the people didn't even look twice.

take it to pet stores to check out toys.

Used to deliver to post offices every night and he sure liked looking in all the backs of mail boxes

seriously though ... its really not a good idea if the cat doesnt like it
