Rocketrod User ID: 169873 Australia 12/15/2006 04:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Anyone know the name of that secure google/yahoo search engine? Google is playing funny buggers.I just did a search in the Australian section 'handguns australian gunsmiths'I have never owned a gun and have no intention of owning one,my curiosity was piqued as I wanted to find out if there is a link to handgun crime in Australia and whether hanguns are illegal. ... and whammo google went spastic... page kept going up and down like a yo yo.... lost control of the mouse... I have 'paranoid'security setting on mozilla, the most secure setting of any browser... crashed.I shut down rapidly. I am a veteran internet user since '94 and this has never ever happened before using a search engine. There must be literally millions of entries of handguns in google. If certain key words are branded by Echelon, hypothetically, which I suspect has links with the major search engines but the words handgun+gunsmith+australia make no sense. Why would a felon want to purchase a handgun from a gunsmith! ID- gun license etc. BTW I have 'opted out' of google/yahoo search information gathering mode which is integrated into both engines. I suggest anyone reading this and use google or yahoo do the same.Dare I say google search a 'opt out google'.
Anyway enough of the diatribe. This proxy search engine is supposed to be a secure alternative.Anyone know about it. |

I put your search term in and did a googly and I had no problems. Maybe it's mozilla having a hissy fit? Give [ link to www.scroogle.org] a try. |

Yes, Scroogle is best. Been using it for over 3 years since finding the site. They are not fond of Google because of security/privacy reasons. |

OP you might also delete ALL google nasties from your system, do a search for "google" on your sys, then simply delete all files & applications. |
