From birth until age 2 is when the wiring develops for empathy. If a primary caregiver doesn't hold the child, rock them, or talk to them much in infancy, the brain would not develop empathic connection. These children don't get a crucial component of whole brain development. A lot of times, this has happened to someone who others describe as "cold hearted".

Maybe that happened to you? There are people who can help you with this.

You know, that very well could be the case. As much as I don't want to admit it. I did grow up in a very cold home.

But while I'm being destroyed by some, I haven't stopped to check and see if they have hearts either.

What do you need a heart for ?
