I wanted to show the strength of a lion that I envisioned in the new earth. No longer does he need to kill, so he would feed his family. He needs to be who he is, gentle and strong. His strength, gentleness and love is in his eyes. I painted the reflection of his cubs in his bright irises to show that he must be strong for them… [link to www.artakiane.com] !!! |

Does anyone remember? [link to www.nationalgeographic.com] Sharbat Gula [link to news.nationalgeographic.com] |

I got one of her paintings from when she was 8 of a horse, its great! A lot of what she does there is more to it. the way she goes about making the painting. years ago they had more photos of how it is done. I think her Dad trained her good + she has the IT to do it. |

Wkat will the lion eat? Tofu? I remembered the story of a Sinai mountain saint living in a sanctuary where he tamed a desert lion and that lion used to follow the mule they had to carry water, then one day the lion came back alone and everybody in the sanctuary were sure the lion ate the little mule and send it away throwing stones at it. One day wandering the lion found a small caravan of sellers and saw this mule tied up and laden following the merchants, it immediately remembered his companion and rushed to the line meantime everyone scattered around frightnened by this lion. The lion appearead next day near the sanctuary draging the mule by its leash and released it near the yard. That story is true and that lion ate whatever it was given and never attacked a living thing since it was tamed by that saint. |
