Aliens to appear at Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena
Well, it would appear that those who have been predicting first contact with 'aliens' will get their wish on New Year's Day, 2007 when George Lucas hosts as Grand Marshal of the 118th annual Tournament of Roses parade in Pasadena.

He is not only picking up the tab for two complete floats... but has also promised a small complement of Storm Troopers in formation... like about 200 or so of them.

Okay: then I'm willing to make this an honest-God GLP prediction that WILL come true- if the parade happens, Lucas will be there with his floats and supporting cast. Now, we just wait and see and tune in.

170130: Of course, it IS a very serious issue to many [including myself] - but I thought the symbolism of Lucas' act was interesting. Anybody know what his political leanings may be? And, you've got to admit: 200 of those big white plastic guys are gonna be impressive!

But, if the Millenium Falcon comes swooping down the boulevard I'll expect some heavy alcohol consumption!!
