Advising Donnies Mother to fake a slip and fall is bad advice besides being illegal and immoral. She could lose the job over something like this...

Sometimes, the truth does hurt.

I suffered from a closed head trauma at 16 after hitting a Deer with my street bike, falling in the fast lane on a major highway at night, the car following me drove over my helmet while my head was inside of it and at 47, I'm still having trouble maintaining a full or even a steady part time work schedule.
She still helps support me even til now... yes, sometimes the truth does hurt.

Donny, arent you entitled to SSI? or some sort of disability insurance?
 Quoting: Pyax

No kidding.

Donny is apparently trying and there is no reason why he and his mom shouldn't help each other and there's no reason for anyone to have to move out if both like the arrangement.
Family? Remember that old fashioned idea?

I'm wondering about SSI and disability, too.

The SSI I have tried for twice in the past and it wasnt until recently i learned the letter sent to the SSI administration from the Pyhsciatrist clinic I go to, talked about me being depressed, but no mention of the head trauma I experienced, and no mention of the numbness in my head and the disoriented affect/mental fatigue/overload that occurs when I try working long days.

So the SSI Administration made it sound like I was disabled from depression and not a head trauma and the negative affects that come with the type of head trauma I experienced.

They used words that did not represent me or my head injury,

I also learned they pay SSI out of the so called revenue side of the ledger...therefore, if you put 2 and 2 togther, it becomes obvious people with disablities are being rejected because it reduces the amount of profit the Administration or State can keep.

So people know I am not a complete loser...I developed handy man home improvement skills along with auto repairs over the years, so I am able to work on my mothers house and repair her car and that sort of balances things out.
Example:
Water line busted in front of house, would have cost $2200.00 with a plumber, but I got there and shoveled away, dug up the busted polybutulene line and put a new copper one in its place and only costing about $250.00 for supplies.

I've seen this before. Those who really need it can't get it.

My dad for one. It took forever and he could barely walk.
We could barely get him to his doctor's appointments because it hurt him so badly to get to and into the car.
He finally had to be taken by ambulance for regular visits.

It took months and months for his disability to come through.

I came here to be a smart ass...but after reading you have head issues I softened up...yes..they are nudging your mum to retire..however, back to you mr....you have head injuries and can't work but you can come on a conspiracy website asking advice on how to keep mum working..i know 2 people with head injuries...x1 fell off a horse...and the other was in a truck accident and went thru the windsheild..all though functioning they also have trouble keeping long term employment...but neither are on conspiracy sites following what their illegal goverent is upto. There brain doesnt have interest in stuff like like..their head got rewired...certain things pass them by for the most part...something seems fishy my friend....she needs to fall at work on a wet floor and collect disability..there problem solved.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6856862

The problem is not that I cant work...I do work, I work as a handyman for various homeowners (including my mother's home) but the problem I experience is when my mind is put under a work load, is when I become disoriented/center of head develops a numb like feeling followed by severe mental fatigue/overload (sometimes throw up and swallow it when this occurs).

And because I'm working by myself for homeowners...the homeowners do understand if I need to stop and come back to finish what I have started, unlike a regular employment job may not be as understanding.

The problem is I am not able to work long enough or consistent enough to develop any "substantial gain" that would be needed to self exist.

I know somebody who hit a Deer on their motorcycle at about 4:00 AM, in fog on a less busy State Highway.

He split the Deer in half, his helmet was full of blood and deer guts, and there was blood & guts all over his Motorcycle suite.

He laid there on the ground about 20 minutes before a car came along.

With all the blood and guts strewn around, they thought he was dead.

Scared the living shit out of the poor people when he started to talk.

Motorcycles and Deer are a bad, bad combination...
.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6066641

In 1985, highway I 83 didn't have any lights up where the deer crossing was. But not so much me hitting the Deer, it was the car that was driving in the fast lane where I was laying near my motorcycle. The man driving the car was coming back from his birthday party with his wife, drunk.
He wasn't aware he drove over me or anything until he ran into my bike after me, then dragged my bike until it caught on fire and his car caught on fire...

I saved the State Police report and pics of my bike and helmet that was cracked inward where the tire track was going across it (starting at the mouthpiece) If I didnt have a full face helmet on, my jaw would have probably been crushed.

Luckily I saved the State Police Accident Report and pics or it may sound like exagerated BS

I should have been wearing a Street Bike helmet instead of the Bell motocross Helmet because the Street Bike helmet would have had more padding surrounding my head, maybe not of suffered an impact to my head as much as I did with the Bell helmet.

Donny, sounds like you've been given a bunch of terrible advice so far. Since there is little you can personally do about her work situation, and if you have the capacity, you can do everything possible at home. Take it upon yourself, make it a daily mission to take care of your mom. It might suck for you to play housewife, but it is what it is and won't be permanent. Make sure everything is done at her house so she rests and spends quality time while home.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67252060

The SS Administration has turned into a Corporation. It has forgotten the reason why it was created and for whom it was created for. They should not be holding funds used for disabilities on the revenue side of the ledger. Now, it will look as if they are losing profit when the pay out for someone's disability.
Also the words they use on the documents may not be representing the person or their disability.
Example:
On their denial letter, they have listed "disabled from depression".

Im like..say what? Disabled from depression??
I had a closed head trauma with a tear in the frontal lobe of my brain and they made it appear as if I'm just depressed!

"Disabled from depression" describes the majority of the country, I was disabled from a closed head trauma.

Can you see what they are doing?
They are using words that do not represent the person's disability, or they will have their own translation of words...words that you may not know are being used and unless their translations of words are used when applying, they will reject the claim.

People need to catch on to how we are no longer being represented, but rather, mis-represented....simply through the use of semantics.

And she is 67 years old.

Her travel time to work was 40 minutes, but now with morning traffic, can be an hour and a half or 2 hours.

Sometimes she cannot sleep enough before waking up and having to drive...

What is everyone's thoughts on someone's work schedule being changed abruptly without any time allowed to transition or adjust?

My mother's mind is strong.

They tried breaking her in the past, and as time went by, she witnessed those same people come and go.

She even had a dispute with the Corporate office allowing Doctors to overcharge patients or charge for more that one biopsy, she would take extra time to correct the overcharging, she warned them to fix it, but they didn't, so she took two of the Doctors to court even without a lawyer because of the extra work load put on her because she also had to work as an auditor which wasnt her job.
Of course she didn't win, but she showed them she is not afraid to challenge them.

They talk to her and treat her with more respect now, but every now and then, they will still take a jab at her.

She made it clear to her Supervisor it was wrong how they dropped a schedule change on her so abruptly, and that she owed her an apology, she also let the Corporate office know and they sent someone down to talk to her to see how things could be made better.

I wanted to say something to my mother's Supervisor but my mother told me I didn't need to speak for her.

I've tried numerous of jobs in the past as well as different shifts and almost every job, I failed.

The one job that I have not failed at up to this day is handy man work, working for various homeowners.
I wont get rich working as a handyman, but at least Im able to work...and a satisfying feeling with the work as a try to turn someone's house into a home.

And plus I am able to help a Homeowner who cannot afford to pay for the cost of lets say... a Plumber or an Electrician and so on..

I suffered severed head/neck trauma a little over a year ago. I can say, no one has one fucking clue what it is like unless one has been through it.

Having no ability to live a normal life, hell can't even ride a lawn tractor to cut my yard.

I have asked myself time and time again, what use am I? Being handicapped with very little abilities.

I live it everyday, i try to sleep with it every night. A nice juicy NY strip steak, hell any cut of steak for that matter will never be enjoyed.

Suffering a trauma to the head is far different than a physical trauma.

At least with a physical trauma, if you have a strong mind...

But when someones brain/mind becomes damaged...its a whole different ball game. The main computer system has been damaged.

And forget about trying to explain to someone what its like living with the results of a head trauma because since they cant "see" the damage..they'll assume you are just lazy.

Very little attention is given to people who suffer from the results of a head trauma, especially the SS Administration...you would think these people would have more heart.
