So I got a letter today asking for writain consent for sex education , my girl is seven WTF

I worked at a grade school part time last year and don't any of you fool yourselves. These younguns are most definitely talking about sex and wanting to go for it. I am very, very serious.

It shocked the every lovin' kwap outta me when a 5th grader asked me what I expected from them, after all (very sarcastically) "we are in 5th grade, you know," he telling me this after I caught him propositioning a little 3rd grade girl. WTF.

I cringe horribly at the idea of a grade school child NEEDING to have sex ed at such a young age - it f'n boggles my mind - but these babies need to be shown the downside of sex while still young and immature...and I'm not talking about transgender education, I mean straight up sex ed. If they're not getting sex ed in a responsible fashion (from a class or at home), then they're going to get it from other CHILDREN through hands on activity, and they don't know enough about STDs and pregnancy to be teaching.

Perhaps some of you will not like what I just wrote, that it's something of value for them to have - they are after all so young, right? - and I don't want you to misunderstand or rail on me. I think it's as heinous as do you...but who wants to see a grade schooler contract herpes or chlamydia or VD?...not to mention the emotional trash that's going to accumulate and be carried with them for the rest of their lives.


Heh, after working for the school district this last year, if I had a school aged child now, there's no doubt they would be home schooled, and I would be on them like white on rice when around other children and adults I don't know well.

I'm 58, and this like it is today?...well, the days of childhood being a time of innocence are critically numbered, if not gone.

It's a crappy shame that our babies are growing up waaay too fast, but it's where we're at these days. An ugly truth, but all the same, the truth.
