Anonymous Coward User ID: 72244462 United Kingdom 05/25/2016 04:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There's the rub... People eat cheap shitty processed food that tastes good and is easy to prepare. They want labels telling them that they've eaten good healthy nutritious GMO free ingredients. In the UK we had a major scandal where horse meat was found to be substituted for beef in every retail outlet of processed AND fresh meat. The debate cleverly descended to the fact that there was actually nothing wrong with horse meat. The question of tractability and how horse meat was able to be turned into beef was cleverly lost. PEOPLE ARE F***ing STUPID, and have no clue how they are being played. The delusion is complete. The food industry DOES NOT GIVE A FUCK so long as it makes money. Regulations are just side stepped. When testing for DNA, the first thing that needs to be decided is what exactly are you looking for? That is how they found the horse meat. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] |

That's true, according to a new study: 84 percent of respondents said they support the labels. Quoting: Face Palmer But a nearly identical percentage—80 percent—in the same survey said they'd also like to see labels on food containing DNA. DNA. The study, published in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Journal last week, also found that 33 percent of respondents thought that non-GM tomatoes "did not contain genes" and 32 percent thought that "vegetables did not have DNA." Label anything that contains DNA, is, well, labeling everything but minerals. So basically, only salt will not be labeled. |

There is no way they could have an unbiased poll. They have been working on GMOs for a long time and recently started trying to make GMO skeptics look like a bunch of uneducated hicks. This poll only shows how desperate they are to convince sheeple that GMOs are safe. If GMOs are safe, why doesn't Monsanto serve them in their own cafeteria?
