Before leaving Water World Harmony found the BioSphere and confirmed that Rebecca and the crew were safe. She did communicate with Rebecca briefily to assure her that the Federation and her family were doing everything possible to end their capture. She didnít give her all the details regarding the complexity of the situation but did say there were considerable difficulties to be overcome and that they should only eat their own food and provisions.

Harmony returned to LeviathanV and reported everything she did and heard on the Water Planet and within the Hidden Galaxy. Mona, Harry and the rest of the family were overjoyed at the knowledge that Rebecca was safe along with her crew.

The Sisters were fascinated by all the details regarding the hidden Galaxy, Poppy and her position as the Chief Magician and her relationship with the Sphere. They couldnít believe the power and advanced technology and the ability of anything made by man that could compress matter and miniaturize a Galaxy small enough to be hidden within Saturnís atmosphere. Everyone agreed that Harmony would continue to gain intelligence before anything would be done by the Federation to recover their crew. The Federation could not gain anything by confronting a power beyond their understanding unless they had no other choice.

Harmon was to return the next day to continue the discussions with Tigress and Ajax.

Harmony returned to communicate with her new friends early the next day. She knew she was going to talk to others but that was all she knew.

When she arrived and saw who was there she almost fainted! All three entities that were with Poppy in the Bright Sphere when it attacked the Federation were there with Tigress and Ajax.

Harmony was speechless. Tigress broke the silence first and did the introductions.

"Harmony Lisa, these are the senior apprentices of the last Chief Magician, Humeral. He died unexpectedly and had not designated a successor. Poppy seized the control Jewel and once she connected with the Bright Sphere, no one has had the power to take it from her. She will most likely hold on to it until she dies. If she is killed, of course, someone may take control of the Jewel."

Harmony breaks her silence and asks: "So, Poppy was one of you and knows no more than you do about the functions of the Bright Sphere?"

The Lion human hybrid answers first: "My name is Phillip and I am from an arid planet which is the state of all of our home planets except for Water World. I was the most senior of the Apprentices.

You are correct, Poppy is the least senior of all of us and knows no more and probably less than the rest of us. What she did, anyone of us could have done. However, we had too much respect for the Ancient ways to do as she did. We failed to understand her treachery; we think she may have been the one who murdered our mentor, Humeral."

Harmony: "Why were you there within the Bright Sphere with Poppy when it attacked our Water Purification BioSphere?"

Phillip: "We were there to try to protect the lives of the crew on the BioSphere. Poppy had by herself attempted other 'Takings' and had destroyed most in the attempts. We did not agree with or want the 'Takings' but cooperated nerver-the-less. We are sorry for your previous loss of life, it is not the way of the Magicians' Guild to destroy life needlessly."

Sylvia, the Tiger Human Hybrid spoke next: "I am Sylvia and come from the same Home World that Tigress and Ajax do. Poppy, is and was very impulsive; quick to anger and always ready to retaliate. She had no patience with the Ancient Ways. She knew she would never be allowed the Chief Magician's mantle.

Her reign so far as the Master Magician has been a disaster. She has antagonized ancient hatreds and reignited old feuds. The Galaxy already in crisis is about to explode with death and destruction after eons of relative peace. Her unwarranted incursion into the Greater Galaxy has exposed our realm to unacceptable exposure and risks of confrontation."

The Twilight looking Humanoid spoke last: "I am John and I am from Water World and the youngest except for Poppy. The reason we could not stop her is she has powerful allies and protection not the least of which is the Bright Sphere itself. The Sea Consortium, Galaxy wide is in her pocket.

They have much to gain by protecting her. Her only enemy among them is the Aquatics; however, they are a mysterious and uncooperative ally. Some of the Guilds also protect her, especially the only Space Fairing Guild. The AirShip Guild on Water World is her sworn enemy because she has swung her support to the Sea Fairing Guild. Basically, we have become violent and intolerant. We are resorting more and more to force over negotiation, compromise and cooperation. We have replaced peace with chaos."

Tigress now spoke: "Harmony, we wish to form an alliance with your Federation. Separately, we would not be able to return order to our realm nor safely return your people to you. Any other coarse could unleash the full defensive protocols within the Bright Sphere and force both sides into a path neither would want to endure or soon recover from.

Our prophetic visions foretold of your appearance. One from the Greater Universe would help bring 'Harmony' to a desperate situation. What we didn't know until you came is that your name is Harmony!"

Harmony responds: "I will take your proposal to the Federation; however, I am sure they will want additional information regarding the process to compress and decompress personnel, material, etc. Eventually, we must safely return our people and if you need assistance from the Federation beyond myself, we have to know how it is accomplished. You see I am only a projection of my consciousness, I have no real substance. You can walk right through me."

Harmony walks through a tree to demonstrate what she was trying to explain.

Phillip responds: "That is a tall order, the Sphere is the only agent that can do what you request. We have ancient manuscripts left by our very distant ancestors but we no longer can read them. The language is unknown to us."

Harmony: "May I see what you are talking about?"

Tigress replied: "They are in the Ruling Council's archives. I can take you to them now if you wish?"

When Harmony saw the manuscript she knew intuitively it was the key. The first image was of what she knew was the first Chief Magician. The interesting thing was there was no Red Jewel Control Necklace. There was, however, a scepter with a large red inset, inside a stylized sun burst at the top.

She had to get this to the Sisters to decode and translate. So she tried something she had never done before, she put a physic tag on the book. If it worked, they would be able to locate it wherever it might go.

Harmony asked if the Federation could attempt to move the text from the Archives to LeviathanV. After some discussion the four agreed an attempt was worth taking. The book in its present capacity was basically worthless to remedy the crisis. If they could not read it, it was just a keepsake.

Harmony woke in the quiet room and immediately requested a full meeting with the Crisis Team. After several hours of debriefing and analysis it was decided the following actions would be attempted.

1. The ancient book would be removed from Water World and brought to LeviathanV for translation and analysis.
2. Genesis and Lazar traveling in ShadowLand would attempt to locate the hidden galaxy's central chronometer used by the SpaceFairing Guild and get 4D coordinates for the Ruiling Council's Library.
3. The Sisters would build a containment device to receive the ancient text whether it be subatomic or normal in size when received.

Within a couple of days the Sisters were ready to attempt quantum jumping the book and its immediate surroundings to their laboratory.

Harmony returned to Water World to inform Tigress the removal of the book was to happen once it was placed in an open field well away from any important structure, natural or artificial.

This was all new to both the Federation and the Ruling Council. All they had to go on was that the Sphere and Poppy had visited the Greater Galaxy in normal size but returned compressed. Taking with them people and materials from the Greater Universe. This was not without risk or loss; several BioSpheres were destroyed and thousands of crew members died in earlier attempts.

The Sisters theorized the Sphere protected the Hidden Galaxy by generating a force field that compressed matter and energy proportionally to anything that entered its influence. Likewise, anything leaving was assumed to regain the proper portions of the Greater Universe once outside its influence.

Now only time would tell.

Harmony was in Water World and the manuscript was in the exact 4D Coordinates as designated by both the Hidden Galaxy and the Federation. The Sisters were about to quantum jump the book and replace it with a helium atom.

Harmony would verify both events with Genesis and Lazar as messengers. If the Helium atom was transported and was not seen, they would send larger and larger atomic structures to include complex molecules. They would increase the size of items until the items sent could be seen.

The Ancient Book was jumped into isolation containment in the Sisters' Laboratory. It was scanned for viruses and was found positive. It was thoroughly decontaminated before it was made available for examination.

The experiment with sending larger and more complex items continued until they decided to transport some living material. They chose a type of bracket fungi. It was exposed to Water World and returned in a couple of hours. The DNA, RNA and proteins were thoroughly examined before and after the trip. No ill effects were noted. It was time to try a more complex life form.

Because the Ancient Book had been found positive for viruses, Dr Brenda Dearborn and her Husband Sam1 were brought in to discuss the implications. They were the foremost experts on the subject within the Greater Galactic Federation. Normally, a quantum jump removes contaminated from one 4D coordinate, TimeLine and Reality to another as it sometimes removes clothing etc. what was the difference?

Their only conclusion was the mirror image of the DNA from the Hidden Galaxy had to be the difference. This means any person sent to or recovered from Water World would be infected as a rule.

Thus all individuals going or coming would have to be sent to an isolation BioSphere until they were proven to be virus free . . . a tall order in a short period of time.

They suggested to bring a few crew members back from the highjacked BioSphere to see how the process might proceed.

The Sisters had made quick and considerable progress on the Ancient Manuscript translation. The written language was similar to other languages they had encountered before. The Book was beautifully illustrated with comments under the illustrations so the accuracy of their analysis was near 100 percent.

The image of the woman was the first Chief Magician and her name was Gazelle. The Sisters were surveying the tome to find any reference to the Bright Sphere, its control, the rules of interaction, its function and any communication devices and their use.

The Sisters recommended, based on the known facts, the best thing to do was to quantum jump one of the foraging animals from the captured BioSphere. The Federation first sent a communication device which was tested to assure two way communication with Rebecca and her Command Section. They then arranged to quantum jump a deer. If the animal was unharmed in the transit it was time to consider moving some of the crew.

The deer was jumped to a quarantined Biosphere and was found to be virus positive. The same Sphere would be used for the crew members as well.

The two were in the lower Maintenance hold of the Sphere and could see the Water World surface from one of the massive view ports.

Harmony went to speak to Rebecca and was on the downed BioSphere. The two were communicating with Mona regarding the next step in their plan to evacuate the crew members.

The two were in the lower Maintenance hold of the Sphere and could see the Water World surface from one of the massive view ports. The two were standing with their backs to the panorama.

Everyone was hopeful that they could begin to quantum jump the 10,000 or so crew in stages to the quarantined BioSphere on LeviathanV. Rebecca was concerned because several surface ships had begun to make advances toward the exterior air locks of the massive beached whale.

From what they knew of the local politics, Poppy had influence with the Sea Fairing Guild and that was not a positive development. She assumed they meant her crew harm and Mona agreed. Evacuation was to commence immediately.

Was it possible the downed BioSphere was near this same location?

Mona noticed in the scene behind Harmony and Rebecca was the identical seascape as seen in the ancient illustration of Gazelle in the Book the Sisters were translating. Was it possible the downed BioSphere was near this same location?

She immediately rushed to notify the Sisters of the discovery and alerted Rebecca and Harmony.

The Sisters were fascinated by the discovery and added some discoveries of their own.

Seems the Bright Sphere had imposed several restrictions on the Galactic sentient beings and especially those living on the Ruling Planet, Water World.

No weapon used (except by the Sphere itself) could be advanced. No projectiles could exceed the speed and kinetic energy delivered by a crossbow or approximately 350 feet per second. No craft on the water or below the water can exceed the speed of a sailfish which is 68 miles per hour. An Airship cannot exceed 86 miles per hour.

Explosives are forbidden. Exceptions: The air ships are allowed to use limited internal combustion engines and may drop ballast from the air, like a dumb bomb. Birds of prey can be used to deliver weapons like poison darts at terminal speeds. Fire is allowed but on Water World the amount of water and moisture limits its effectiveness. The existence of Greek Fire is unknown.

The weapon of choice by assassins is a weapon tipped with a lethal poison and lion fish venom is the most effective in their World. Bottom-Line, War is hand to hand combat for the most part. Archery and swordsmanship is a high skill and is practiced and relied upon by all.

The Space Guild is the exception, there are portals on each Planet that allow Galactic wide transport and communication but are very limited and expensive. Commerce is supported but not encouraged. Only the rarest commodities are traded and few people move Planet to planet. The exception is the Magician's Guild. They are allowed free access to this service.

It seems like the purpose of all this was to keep the Galactic Civilization permanently in a pre-industrialized state. The Magicians were the trained diplomats and piece makers . . . Poppy has changed all that.
