The intervening months had been chaotic. Ten million people were deciding whether to remain on the Planet or return to LeviathanV. There was considerable damage to the Space complex caused by the ejecta from the Asteroid impact on the Moon. So repair was taking months to complete. At least seven million people decided to remain on the surface and complete the planet's transformation.

The Crisis Team and all the best scientific minds returned to Leviathan. Mona had incorporated a few exchange officers (the most comparable with her values) from the Hidden Galaxy Space Guild into the Leviathan crew. She had also sent some of her strongest young cadets to work in the Galaxy Star fleet.

LeviathanV was now to be the flagship of the Space Guild. Mona was having scheduled meetings with Maximus and had Sam1 and Dr Dearborn presently residing on the Bright Sphere.

It was not a total ban of slavery but was a start

Mona had already begun to suppress the transport of slaves from the poorer planets to the richer ones. However, there were elements within the Space Guild that resisted the crackdown and were smuggling them anyway at higher prices. They were making even more profit.

She needed the Ruling Council to outlaw slavery at some level. She asked Nadia, Jim Jimmersons Daughter, the Federations Representative, to start a petition to outlaw ownership of sentient beings that were adolescents or younger. It was not a total ban of slavery but was a start. She need to create a law enforcement unit within the Guild to enforce the Ruling Councils edicts. This was dangerous territory and she knew it. Once formed a security force could do much harm in the wrong hands.

Mona was aware the Building and Agriculture Guilds were the most involved with slave labor. She asked Maximus if she could call a meeting of all the Guild Chiefs to meet on Planet-DD. She wanted to show them how the Federation worked and thrived without slaves. Maximus agreed and a date was set for such a conference.

If she could convince these leaders that slavery was unnecessary, it would go a long way in the voluntary abolishment of the practice.

Pre-existing unsavory practices were a different matter.

The Greater Galactic Federation had voluntarily and communally agreed to end slavery in all its forms.

The Federation security forces were never used directly against a Federation member except when unacceptable interference occurred between members. Even then strict guidelines were adhered to and the offenses had to be clear cut. An example of interference from outside influences was undue influence from Demonic forces as in the Twilight Entities. Pre-existing unsavory practices were a different matter. This unfortunately was exactly where slavery found itself entrenched.

Before the planned conference with the Guild Chiefs, Mona and Harry took a long range shuttle from LeviathanV and toured a selection of the poorer systems within the Galaxy. They went cloaked and observed several Space Guild Star Cruisers moving slaves from them to the Space Guild Planet.

It was time to send cloaked drones and ShadowLand personnel to the Guild Planet to investigate the operation. Once a complete survey was accomplished the next step in dealing with the practice could be formulated.

So far things pointed to a centralized operation led by one or a few leaders.

Destiny along with Harmony had devised an investigation plan to fully survey the slave trade within the Space Guild and SpaceGuild Planet. They were trying to determine if there was a centrally controlled commerce and a king pin or if there were a group of independent operators.

So far things pointed to a centralized operation led by one or a few leaders. They knew the slave market was located in one of the most remote region of the Planet and buyers were taken there to be wined and dined as they selected their merchandise.

She had never mentioned the fact the Federation had possession of the Ancient Manuscript or the Scepter.

Sam1 and Dr Dearborn reported that they were making progress on their mission. However, the technology that was being used within the Bright Sphere was very alien, even to them. They wanted to meet with MoonBeam and Levie on LeviathanV soon to discuss what the next steps should be.

They suggested Mona should update Maximus, but to tell him the process is slow and steady. This is all new territory for all of them. Mona acknowledged their suggestions and prepared to brief Maximus.

She and Maximus had begun to form a trust relationship. She had been honest with Maximus but never had divulged the Federations ShadowLand and cloaking abilities or that Genesis and Harmony had prevented the Asteroid from hitting the Planet.

She had never mentioned the fact the Federation had possession of the Ancient Manuscript or the Scepter. Nor that the Sisters had been translating, decoding, and analyzing the contents for years. Now that the Sisters were back on LeviathanV, their analysis had increased in efficiency and intensity.

The two pairs could pose as wealthy couples on vacation together looking for household slaves.

Destiny had compiled the ShadowLand report on the Space Guild Planet and was prepared to brief the Crisis Team. Chaos and She had some suggestions for undercover work that were perfectly suited for Genesis and Michael as well as Harmony and Gourmand. The two pairs could pose as wealthy couples on vacation together looking for household slaves. They could then get to see the entire operation as participants from the commercial and profit side of the operation.

Destiny suggested the couples actually purchase at least six slaves and arrange for their processing and delivery.

In other words, they could be more like the Space Guild Planet.

At the Guild Chief's Conference, Mona, Harry, Chaos, and Michael all gave impassioned justifications for the abolition of slavery. The tour of the Planet and how innovation and alternative use of non-sentient species could replace reliance on involuntary servitude made substantial impact.

Mona also hinted that if Planets voluntarily agreed to end slavery they could be considered for lifting of the technology dampening restrictions. In other words, they could be more like the Space Guild Planet.

The biggest objection from the Guild Leaders was what the Planets were to do with the large number of underclass citizens released within their cultures without a clear idea of what this would create.

Mona offered some alternatives that made sense to the Guild Leaders. She offered unlimited resettlement to Planet-DD of the emancipated slaves and passage via the Space Guild. She offered the same passage for any slave wishing to return to their Planet of origin; that is, If the Planet of origin was willing to accept the individuals' return.

After the Conference, Nadia introduced to the Ruling Council a pronouncement to be endorsed by the Council that asked for the abolition of any slavery of sentient beings below the equivalent age of young adult status.

The pronouncement was almost unanimously endorsed by the entire Galaxy. Further, an enforceable restriction was introduced and passed to outlaw slavery of individuals of adolescent age or younger.

Mona now had the problem of enforcing such a restriction without a security force. She needed to do some imaginative problem solving on this one, and of course, get the full cooperation from Maximus to proceeded.

Her snoops were about to launch operation "Crib Thieves."

Mona proposed any Planet that knowingly offered, transported or accepted the restricted age slaves would lose Transportation privileges from the Space Guild. The rights could be revoked by Mona's authority alone. The reinstatement of such privileges would require a majority vote by the Ruling Council.

Maximus agreed and Nadia presented the policy to the Council where it was accepted by 75 percent of the voters. Mona now had the tools to make a blow to the abusive commerce.

She ordered Cloaked Drones sent to each of the slave sources and to the slave markets where ever found.

Her first significant target was to be Space Guild Planet. Her snoops were about to launch operation "Crib Thieves."

In fact, Poppy was a child slave of the Chief Magician, who she poisoned.

During extended discussions with Poppy, Mona discovered she was most knowledgeable about the slave trade. In fact, Poppy was a child slave of the Chief Magician, who she poisoned. she was purchased by him as a young child and was sexually abused until she was physically and emotionally capable of protect herself. It was also helpful the old criminal wanted younger prey.

Poppy said Daren was the ring leader of the disgusting trade and probably knew all the other major players involved. So Poppy and Mona went on a trip to the Oasis to have a heart to heart with Daren.

Mona and Poppy fearlessly approached Daren.

It had been almost two years since Poppy had isolated Daren in the Oasis. The Cloaked Drone left behind to monitor Daren indicated she had survived. She had lost weight but had found the diet of figs, an occasional fish, insects and roots sustained her.

As Mona and Poppy approached from the air, on one of the Planet's all purpose craft, Daren was standing in a clearing. She didn't take cover or avoid her potential demise. Her curiosity probably exceeded any fear she may have had.

They landed and exited the craft. Harry was flying and remained in the craft. Mona and Poppy fearlessly approached Daren. Who now had a smirk across her face.

We decided to make this a working luncheon instead.

Daren was the first to speak: "Welcome to my palace, you no doubt got my invitation for the banquet. I must say, you could have dressed better for the occasion."

Poppy responds: "We decided to make this a working luncheon instead. You didn't get the memo?"

Daren responds: "apparently not, I must talk to my administrative assistant, it is so hard getting reliable help out here."

Mona put her hand over her mouth as she couldn't help but smile, though she tried hard to suppress it.

Daren: "So, what do you two Bitches want, I am sure this isn't a pleasure trip?"
