Kat and Tomlin remain on station in orbit around Ceres and continue the regression as ordered. They see what appears to be a mass evacuation of Ceres. Thousands of arrivals and departures. The number increasing with each hour they regress.

The two are getting closer and closer to the present timeline and getting more and more nervous!

Then it happens . . . the space around Ceres erupts into an enormous blue funnel . . . though in ShadowLand they feel they are being sucked into a vortex that is beyond belief.

Kat and Tomlin in their horror watch as the habitat is elongated at its terminal end and pulled down the funnel's enormous throat. The bio-spheres are next followed by the massive Leviathan3 complex.

The space around Ceres is cleared of all spacecraft as though a giant tornado has vacuumed everything into its vortex.

The entire event took only seconds to complete. Only Ceres remained but all structures were cleared of its surface and one could only guess what happened inside the planetoid's interior?

Tomlin rushed to the Galactic Chronometer on Mars to establish the exact 4D coordinates of the event.

Kat stays for a few more minutes to make sure there are no pre-warning events and wakes up. Tomlin gets his information and does likewise!

Kat and Tomlin awaken to pure pandemonium . . . all shuttles have been launched to evacuate the bio-spheres and habitat first and Ceres next. The call has gone out Federation wide for evacuation assistance.

The Leviathan3 is already at maximum harbor speed out of orbit and is about to quantum jump to Mars.

The Sisters grab Kat and Tomlin and all ask simultaneously: "When does it happen?"

Tomlin bursts out with the exact 4D coordinates. The time and exact 3D location of the vortex. The Federation only has 24 hours from now to pull off the most complex evacuation imaginable.

Mona is notified of the time remaining immediately. She had already made the decision along with the twin Jim Jimmersons that the habitat and bio-spheres would most likely have to be sacrificed . . . the effort to move them would be too time consuming and all available resources would be needed to evacuate people and food stocks.

The facilities are, however, being moved as far away as possible in their orbits by their organic capabilities.

Ceres has 9,000,000 people counting the habitat and the interior of Ceres. The shuttles of MotherShip Condor3 would be arriving within the hour. If everything goes perfectly and the cargo bays of the mothballed MotherShips used in the Andromeda invasion are filled to capacity each run they might pull off the impossible.

The countdown was now less than two hours until the event. The people had been removed from the habitat and Ceres. Leviathan3 was orbiting Mars. There were only the crews on the Habitat and the bio-spheres to be evacuated.

Mona and Harry were in Barracuda docked with the habitat ordering the crew to board the shuttle. They were reluctant because they thought they might be able to clear the distance needed to avoid the event horizon of the enormous wormhole.

While the Barracuda was fitted with the quantum resonance generator to withstand the rigors of transit through a black hole it was not intended to do so attached to a massive structure doomed for utter destruction.

Mona and Harry were patiently waiting for the last few crewmen from the Habitat to board Barracuda. They had about 20 minutes to launch and clear the area.

The last crewman boarded and they attempted to disengage the airlock. The attempt failed . . . Barracuda was stuck. Harry went through the recommended corrective actions on the checklist. Still attached! Mona finally fired the explosive charges designed to collapse the airlock, destroying it and designed to force the Barracuda free. This was nuts! They didn't break free.

Mona broke out pressure suits for everyone aboard. While the Barracuda was fitted with the quantum resonance generator to withstand the rigors of transit through a black hole it was not intended to do so attached to a massive structure doomed for utter destruction. Not only that, the Barracuda now only had a weak single wall between its interior and deep space caused by the airlock destruction.

There were only seconds before the wormhole was to appear.

The bad news was, it wasn't far enough.

The good news was, based on its orbit, the Habitat was as far away from the event horizon of the worm hole as could be attained. The bad news was, it wasn't far enough.

Inside the Barracuda everyone was in space suits. Mona and Harry were at the controls in case they broke free from the mega structure.

Everywhere a blue light flashed. The massive structure began to groan and could be heard and felt because they were still attached to the structure.

They were spinning out of control, the artificial gravity was failing. Everyone was strapped in as good as possible; but were being slung like rag dolls.

Barracuda finally broke away, Harry and Mona both got a brief glimpse of the Habitat as it rolled away from the more stable Barracuda.

Huge chunks of the Habitat and the bio-spheres swirled pass Mona and Harry's view in the front of Barracuda. This must be what it was like inside a tornado.

Mona attempted to quantum jump as soon as they broke free from the Habitat. Nothing happened!

The Sisters were continuing to interview the two Enforcers from Leo I Galaxy. They were interested in the debris field they discovered that resulted in their being sucked into the MilkyWay Galaxy.

Pawnee had a short video he was able to retrieve on his personal recorder they use in their investigations. He was able to show it to the Sisters and it confirmed that Leviathan3 had been destroyed in the wormhole just a few days prior.

Silver came into the safe room and notified the Sisters that contact had been lost with Harry and Mona. It was possible they were still attached the Habitat when it went down the worm hole just a few minutes ago. Anything they could get from their two guests about the original debris field might be critical in the recovery of the Barracuda. The Sisters immediately asked if they could download the recorder form Pawnee and get the exact 4D coordinates.

The duo from the Leo I Galaxy were not familiar with the complications of time travel. They now understood that the ship they were now on was the same ship that they found the wreckage of a few days earlier.

They also know the Leviathan3 is now out of harms way but it seems her Captain Mona Ann Lisa is in considerable danger and most likely is now in their Galaxy of origin.

The Sisters have to figure out how to find Mona and Harry and how to retrieve them. The ShadowLand group is probably their best hope.

Destiny and Lazar were trained to take 4D coordinates and travel to them within the MilkyWay. They had traveled via landmarks in Andromeda but could they do it in the Leo I Galaxy.

The Sisters had the 4D coordinates of the debris field and are recommending the ShadowLand group start there.

So far Mona had not contacted Tomlin who was in the quiet room in ShadowLand. This meant she was now awake, deceased, unconscious and unable to be aware enough to travel in ShadowLand, or could not locate where Leviathan3 was from Leo I.

Presently taking a nap to contact her ShadowLand comrades was far from Mona's priorities.

She was attempting to stabilize Barracuda using only harbor thrusters. The debris field was like a churning sand cloud in breaking surf. Between she and Harry they were a great team but were still taking hits from the smaller chunks of the once proud facilities.

All they could do was to find a way to tumble with the rest of the destruction without becoming additional fodder.

The outcome was inevitable and Barracuda was beginning to break up. The atmosphere was sucked out of the craft and everyone had to secure their suits. The pressure suits had rebreathers and were equipped with an organic oxygen supply and power to sustain life for several days.

The eight of them jettisoned themselves from the ship and floated free from Barracuda. They were connected by a tether and resting on some of the superstructure of one of the bio-spheres.

Finally, Mona for the first time had the time and quiet surroundings to relax enough to take a nap and try to reach out to her ShadowLand confederates.

She left her body and rushed to Leviathan3; there she immediately connected to Tomlin and Lazar. Tomlin awoke and notified Silver and the Sisters. The rest of the OBE group were alerted and went to the quiet room to get their orders.

They were overjoyed by the fact Mona had contacted them.
