By accident Genesis discovered she could alter her physical appearance. She was looking in the mirror and wondered how she might look without her birthmark. The mark simply faded away and was replaced with perfect skin.

She then decided to reverse the process and her mark returned as before. Genesis decided this capability could be either dangerous or possibly life saving depending on the circumstances and required serious research and investigation . . . the Sisters would love this!

The Sisters of course went nuts over Genesis's new capability and created hundreds of experiments to determine the extent and range of its effect.

They were able to establish Genesis could heal genetic and acquired pathology at will. Since there was little sickness in her timeline this was not a real big deal, it was more of a curiosity. However, she could superficially change her appearance and could alter others appearance as well. This ability was thought by the Sisters to be very useful and they wanted to further test its full potential.

They found she could alter the surface color and texture of organic or inorganic substances. This meant she could be the perfect spy. She had the ability to render persons or objects invisible as well. That meant she could mimic cloaking technology with her mental capabilities.

There were many, many question: how many things could she perform simultaneously? Where or what was the energy and source of her abilities? Was the use of these abilities harmful to Genesis?

The Sisters were determined to find the answers to these questions if the answers existed.

The Sisters were able to sequence Genesis's complete genome. The trick was to determine if her unique abilities were due to any genetically unique markers in her DNA as compared to a more "normal" person. To their surprise their efforts showed no obvious differences.

So what was going on? Was the digital binary data or code (genetic memory) that was downloaded and stored in her DNA the source of her abilities? Was there a way to read this data? What or who downloaded this data and the "software" programs that allowed for her abilities?

The Sisters were determined to find the answers to these questions if the answers existed.

such power can be truly dangerous. weaker lifeforms would either worship or try to destroy such an individual. if someone with that kind of ability were to decide to use it for nefarious purposes, they could destroy entire civilizations at will.

Excellent point, that is why Genesis is being studied thoroughly and is under the constant supervision of Kat and Mona. People with gifts are always frightening to people without the same gifts.

Many, many millions of light years away is a Galaxy where lifeforms are based on a whole different chemistry. These sentient beings in no way resemble those found within the GGF. They don't look like those found in the GGF, they don't breath like nor do they think like anything in the GGF. They are alien even to the most alien beings within the enormous diversity found within the Federation.

These beings are interested in expanding their territory and are extremely egocentric. No lifeform besides themselves exist. They are Gods and everything is theirs to do with as they please. So far no one has slowed them down nor has anyone talked to them, not that they would have listen.

You see they believe they must terraform every planet within conquered Galaxies to fit their needs so all life within a Galaxy will be transformed or perish.

"Tardigrades are notable for being the most resilient animal: they can survive extreme conditions that would be rapidly fatal to nearly all other known life forms. They can withstand temperature ranges from 1 K (close to absolute zero) to about 420 K (300 °F; 150 °C),[7] pressures about six times greater than those found in the deepest ocean trenches, ionizing radiation at doses hundreds of times higher than the lethal dose for a human, and the vacuum of outer space.[8] They can go without food or water for more than 30 years, drying out to the point where they are 3% or less water, only to rehydrate, forage, and reproduce.[3][9][10][11]

They called themselves Tardigrades. They were extremely resillient beings who could survive in a wide range of temperature, pressure and chemical environments. They had their preference where they were most successful but were very difficult to kill. They could survive the environment of empty space. They could coat themselves with a layer of glass and fall into a state of suspended animation.

While Genesis was deeply involved with Kat and Mona she was very close to both parents. Destiny, Chaos and Genesis ate together as often as possible.

Chaos worked primarily with the Security and Military operations of the GGF, while Destiny worked as the coordinator for the ShadowLand and Twilight investigative group.

The Twilight Group were 3D reanimated humans yet could still assume their Twilight personas and operate in Twilight at will. This gave them significant advantage over other entities that engaged in espionage.

Destiny could observe undetected the Twilight personnel activities while in ShadowLand and was always aware of their loyalty and adherence to the Federations Code of Conduct. This had been a serious concern for many decades after they were released from confinement and given back their human forms.

Mona had received some disturbing reports of automated probes appearing in one of the more remote Galaxies in the Greater Galactic Federation. These devices were of an unknown design and substance.

Images were sent to LeviathanIV for analysis. The Sisters were concerned and sent them to security.

George and Leo, Harry's adopted sons were immediately alerted and requested Destiny to target a ShadowLand mission to investigate.

All 281 ShadowLand personnel with the exception of Mona were mobilized to blanket the remote Galaxy to locate and document the drone activity. Destiny had organized her people into five quiet rooms led by Tomlin, Lazar, Kat, Dearborn, and herself.

Each leader had approximately 55 members each and were assigned a sector of the targeted Galaxy. The operation was to begin shortly and remain engaged on a rotational basis for the next 48 hours.
