Any translator of the law is a mediator. Any who can put one to death, by mediating persuasion has the authority similar to one divine. We can split hairs and debate how many angels dance on a needle, but it would not end. The final decision would be made by the mediating authority, the chief "teacher" who becomes as the final arbiter of the word of god. |

The prophets didn't magically just stop when the Old Testament was written. God's process of revelation to mankind kept on going, as it is now, we haven't reached anywhere near a good knowledge yet.
