New War in Ukraine: After the Pan-Eastern Orthodox Synod failed, where are we
Since the Pan-Orthodox meeting failed, at least in the view of the Russian Orthodox Church, there have been some interesting developments. Most notable is that Patriarch Bartholomew who lives in Turkey left Turkey a few hours before the recently claimed coup attempt. He has not returned and some in Turkey find the cicumstances quite odd. Old Bartholomew was the primary mover of getting the Pope and Russian Patriarch to meet. Bartholomew was also the one who refused to delay the Synod when Russian and other Churches ask for it to be delayed. Also, Bartholomew is pushing to have or helping the Ukranian Orthodox to become independent of the Russian Church. So, there may be some connection between Russia becoming buddies with Turkey, the coup and Bartholomew power plays.

HISTORICAL: It has been over 1,000 years since the last Holy Synod came together following their split from the Roman Catholic Church over doctrine. Pope Francis as well as Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew of Turkey has been pushing for reconciliation and of course no real Christian Church could ever agree to be in unity with the Roman Catholic if for no other reason than their Mary worshipping satanic inspired dogma. I expect other Orthodox Churches will refuse the call for unity. The Roman Catholic Church, the World Council of Churches (protestant) Muslims, & Jewish religious groups are hoping to unite under one umbrella of "we are all similarly religious". And you see how that world famous scientist's newly pronounced discovery of intelligent design will make it easier for even Atheist to unite. One World Religion then breeds One World Government. But a true Christian cannot or better not buy into that trap. Our God is One. There is no other God before Him. He is a jealous God, powerful and His judgements are Righteous.

If the Roman Pope wants unity they need to renounce their Heresy. I don't think they are willing to do that. I think they want to set rules on recognizing autonomous Churches under a shared umbrella with the Eastern Orthodox Churches which would allow them to continue their heretical ways. But how could such a union be cohesive when their doctrines are so opposed. And with the knowledge that this Pope has dedicated his term in office to the further strengthening of Marianism. God bless those who oppose this Satanic work.

Update: Russian Orthodox have pulled out also. Russia is the largest. This will surely bring about cancellation or postponement until changes are made in the agenda. Prayers have been answered.

The Drudge Report has now reported on this so millions will know and appreciate the importance. GLP idiots, not so much. Rather dwell on 250 pages of idiocy.

The curent global "Christian" theological situation is very liberal. I would be terrified to think of what they would agree to if they had a chance to meet.

Rome is basicly satanic at this point.

Despite every news source which has intelligent viewership GLP's ignorant masses have failed to elevate a discussion of the importance of this topic. But as an update, be aware that the Conference did begin without the participation of Russia, Bulgaria, Syria and Georgia Churches. Thus no "Great Synod" has taken place. Decisions will be non-binding. But the best is that they have not committed the sin of associating themselves to the Roman Catholic Church.

Re: New War in Ukraine: After the Pan-Eastern Orthodox Synod failed, where are we
Well the Synod has ended with written declarations of agreement from those in attendance. I will await eagerly to hear what was discussed about the possible reunification with the Roman Catholic Church. The released document talks about continuing dialog with non-orthodox Christians as being their duty to spread the truth. This would include to the RCC. It states however, "The dialogues conducted by the Orthodox Church never imply a compromise in matters of faith." Thank God for that.
It does appear that there was some serious bad blood created by some who sought to portray the non-participating Orthodox Churches (Russia, Georgia, Syria, Greek) as having bad or political motives. This quickly escalated with answers back that the accusers were untruthful. If deceit and lies exist on either side, those responsible should be swiftly exposed and be stripped of authority. For me, everyone needs to keep a close eye on Patriarch Bartholomew. Just saying.

Re: New War in Ukraine: After the Pan-Eastern Orthodox Synod failed, where are we
So Patriarch Bartholomew has assumed to single handedly overturn a 300 year old Orthodox wide law in order to grant autonomy to Ukraine Orthodox Church and thus removing them from control by the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC). Immediately ROC dissolved any relationship to Bartholomew Patriarchate, the Constanople Orthodox Church.
But here is the deal. Bartholomew pastors over no church. Less than 0.2 % of the Turkish people identify as Christian and not just Orthodox. Turkey took control of all Churches in that country and only permits Bartholomew to conduct business from St. George Church.
Said the ROC, “The 1686 Synodal Deed and other documents that accompany states nothing about either a temporary nature of the transfer of the Metropolis of Kiev to the jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate or that it may be cancelled. The attempt of hierarchs of the Patriarchate of Constantinople for political and self-seeking reasons to review this resolution now, over three hundred years after it was adopted, runs contrary to the spirit of the Orthodox Church's canons that do not allow of a possibility for reviewing established church boundaries that have not been challenged for a long time. “
"One's appropriation of powers to reverse court judgments and other decisions of other Local Orthodox Churches is only one of the manifestations of a new false teaching proclaimed today by the Church of Constantinople and ascribing to the Patriarch of Constantinople the right of 'the first without equals' (primus sine paribus) with a universal jurisdiction.”

Drudge has a nice article today on the New Ukrainian Orthodox Church. It is sad that Religion gets itself overshadowed by the political machine in which it finds itself a part of. Gives new understanding to recent actions of Turkey resident/citizen Patriarch Bartholomew. Doesn’t it?
