I think I figured out why liberals hate guns

Partly because they would like to defer complete security and control to the state. Mommy government knows what is best for us, especially the redneck, inbred savages and white devils as well as all the other names they attach to those who do not agree with liberal ideals.

I used to identify as a liberal- that was when Bush was in office and before the movement went so utterly gay.

Here's my take:

I shot an M-16 in the military. Fun? Yes! Do I think there should be more restrictions on obtaining one? Yes!!!

Here's why:

I'm currently divorcing from a veteran who is 100% disabled from PTSD. He's also addicted to oxycontin. This man is a documented crazy person/drug addict who has admitted that he has homicidal thoughts- and he owns 6 guns! He left the guns within our childrens' reach several times throughout the course of the marriage. Finally I'd had enough, so I told his Dad, who provided most of them, that I was seriously considering taking them down to the sheriff. His Dad was very concerned and sympathetic, and said he would have a talk with him. But crazy convinced him I'm just a flaming liberal who wants to take everyone's guns away. All I wanted was for him to USE THE SAFE that he purchased for that very purpose!

I have seen too many people be careless with guns- and they're often the ones who brag about how incredibly cautious they are. Which brings me back to his Dad. A few years ago we went to his house for Easter. I was in the house getting some food ready, and when I came out a gun shot grazed right by me. "What are you doing walking here," my SIL said. "We're shooting!" She said they had made an announcement. Well, what good is the announcement if not everyone is present?

Last year I went to a classmate's house for an English project. I brought my kids along to play with hers. One of her younger kids brought them into the "basketball room" to play. The older kid saw this and came running, saying, "Mom, don't you think we should get the gun out first?" Ummm, yes! And what is the gun doing in an area the kids like to play in? What really irked me was that just a few weeks later we were having a discussion on guns in class. This same classmate started going on and on about her 2nd amendment right, and that she owns a gun and is always, always careful and always, always, leaves it in a safe.

So I don't know. I just think the majority of Americans are too lazy and incompetent to own them, I guess.

I guess I'm considered a "liberal" although I don't actually label myself as anything but "human". But, No one blames the guns themselves. We blame the access TO the guns. Too many lunatics have easy access to deadly weapons. Just as there are regulations that limit the ability of the unfit to drive cars, there should be regulations that determine if someone is unfit to own a deadly weapon.

I'm sorry that you think that is unreasonable. You'd better learn to like it though...it's coming.

The basis for being a liberal is to pretend you are Jesus and self-identify with all minorities and the oppressed.
People can argue back and might even be right, but not a gun. Inanimate objects are the easiest to blame when you can't blame a person because you'd be admitting your own imperfect humanness.

Gun people are as creepy as those animal people that love animals more than humans , gun people are fucking weird and creepy.

Which is not the same as owning a gun , but being proud of it and all that other stuff is fucking weird.

We just think the whole culture is kinda red-necky and silly.

I happen to appreciate them as a machine and admire the engineering. But, how much shit can you shoot before it becomes boring?!

As for how much shit I can shoot up before it becomes boring....IT NEVER BECOMES BORING....I can always find something new to shoot the shit out of or a new way of shooting something I have already shot the shit out of...it is my money, my gun, and my ammo, so why should you care? Unalienable rights are those which God gave to man at the Creation, once and for all. By definition, since God granted such rights, governments could not take them away. In America, this fundamental truth is recognized and enshrined in our nation's birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence:

Liberals like control. Because somewhere in them they have issues with emotions being out of control.


God given rights can not be regulated by a government.

They would take away our God given rights over an emotion.

Government is happy to exploit those emotions to enslave the population and take away your God given rights. In doing this we lose the foundation of America!
