Flat earth debate turns violent

Thought you GLP'rs would find this amusing. I read it in today's Metro paper.

"Brockville police are seeking a 56-year-old man in connection with a family dispute at St. Lawrence Park on Monday night.

The man was at a campsite with his son and the son's girlfriend. The older man became angry during a discussion about the shape of Earth, according to a police news release. The female insisted the Earth is flat; the man argued it is round. He allegedly started throwing their items into a campfire; this included a propane cylinder.

City police and fire departments responded at about 10:30 p.m., and the fire was extinguished. The suspect had left the scene, and police are trying to locate him so he can be charged with mischief.

Neither party would change his or her views, the release states."
