No matter what...remember these simple rules for a victorious live during tumultuous times:

1. One is none and two is one.

2. Take care of your equipment and your equipment will take care of you.

3. Train hard...fight easy.

4. During a disaster the place to be is were everyone else...isn't.

5. To be unseen, to be unheard is to be...unscathed.

I did!

Just hit the buy button on another stripped lower and half a dozen 30 rnd mags, because fuck them!

Not sure what I'll build out of it, yet. I have a 20" heavy barrel set up for precision shooting, and 16" carbine for the wife and HD.

Maybe a .458 Beowulf hog hammer?

6.8Spc?

Maybe just another lightweight carbine?

Decisions...

Just saying!

I don't want to speak for the other guy, but what makes you think that it's any of your business, Oztard?

If a person is a law abiding citizen, he has the right to own 100, or 500 guns, if they so choose.

Do you ask a gun collector why they own so many guns? He'd tell you the same thing. Mind your own business, serf.

Is this response 'Gallow's Laughter'???

If I could, I'd be training-up in the use of the LEGAL weapons mentioned and UNMENTIONED with urgency.

Here in Cyprus where there are has at least 30,000 of TheSultan's army, citizens are not legally allowed weapons to defend themselves.

I'm looking forward to the echo trigger from fostech, looks like it could be good bit of fun. Pricey though, $479 USD so by the time I land one here it will probably be $700+ NZD.

You can buy a whole ar15 for $1500 NZD...

A very very crap one.

Have moved to 7.62 by 54R ... Imperial Russian.

Same caliber as 303 ... so re-loading is easy, and has a lot more down range Zing.

1500 will buy you a decent ar15 not a crap one, just don't buy chinese at GC and your good.

Starting small? Cute little three year old girl playing with her tea set in the garden playhouse, whole life in front of her and you come along, blam, right in the face with your hog hammer. Then go find the five year old brother who is trying to read his first book... Legs first, then arms and then your signature, right in the face with your hog hammer. Don't forget the keepsakes like fingers or ears, and smear their blood on your face. Heck, why not eat them while you're at it?

That is what you are longing to do, isn't it? Why else have such a powerful weapon when you could just make do with an air-rifle that will sting marauders but not kill. Or tranquiliser darts? You want the blood, the gore, the power to take life in a cruel and violent way that is far from painless...

Clearly you are genetically challenged.. two X chromosomes probably. Small balls? Not particularly manly but try to be? Yep, an evolutionary dead-end.

Fortunately you lot are dying out. Good riddance, I say.

Feral hogs are MEAN. They are destructive to crops, invasive animals that are over breeding and damaging the ecosystem in rural America.

All the sizes mentioned in the post you quoted are used to kill hogs, HOGS!

Wild Pigs are a Growing Threat to Hikers on the Trail

Hikers generally have certain wild animals they watch out for while hiking. Is the wild pig on your list? These wild hogs are a growing threat and can live in a wide range of habitats. They mainly dwell in forested areas where the trees and vegetation provide them shelter and food but they also can be found in marshes or swamps as well as farmlands. Because these feral pigs exist in at least 40 states there is a chance your favorite trail could be home to these invasive "backwoods beasts".

Potential Threats to Hikers from Wild Pigs

wild boar with sharp tusks
Feral pigs can exhibit aggressive territorial behaviors.
Hogs may weigh up to 300 pounds or more, can charge at least 11 mph and can quickly attack hikers.
Boars have four extremely sharp tusks up to five inches long that can severely injure or kill a hiker.
Hikers can contract disease (undulant fever, etc) from any contact with an infected hog.
Pigs can contaminate water sources with their feces.

I would like to trade my AR for a pair of AK's. More = Better.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72111535

These days, you can get a good S&W or Ruger AR complete for about $600. AK's are almost just as expensive.

You can build your own basic AR carbine for about $500.

You do know an ak is very inaccurate.? They are fun to play with but to use for survival no.

The GOP's favorability rating just plunged to an all-time low

In a poll released Wednesday, the Republican Party's favorability rating hit a new low.

Just 32% of Americans viewed the GOP favorably - the lowest that rating has been since the poll's inception in 2009.

The Democratic Party's favorability rating was notably higher, at 49%.

I wondered if the government was doing this on purpose.

They know gun control rhetoric increases gun sales. And Obama has pushed A LOT of guns on to the streets.

Funny, he arms Isis, gives them guns, they come and kill Americans. He goes to take OUR guns....fucker.

You are lucky as here in Puerto Rico People will need to buy them from the Drug lords ....

because of the Gun LAWS ! and looking at how things are going
even veteran police officers are buying NON registered guns
from the street in case shit hits the fan and telling the people to buy them also before OBAMA orders them pick up .

OUR GUN LAWS will be enforced in all USA as WALL street banks & their slaves in government decided that years ago
the experiment began in 1952 with the Nationalist Upraising False flag and the attack to the white house By nationalist Manchurian candidates .

Meh...I know that the internet says they are garbage, but I can hit a 1 gallon jug with mine at 100 yards with boring regularity.

I call that accurate enough.

Sure, AR's are generally better shooters, but I think it would be a mistake to assume that a guy with an AK couldn't hit you from 400 or even 800 yards away.
