It bothers me and I stick to fish and fowl, not much of that.

I feel you, but remember that fish and fowl also have eyes, ears, nerves, muscles, and brains. They all have offspring, and they all feel pain. What right do you have to draw that line?

I eat meat for my own health, but we buy from local farmers whenever possible, always pasture-raised and grass-fed. Say grace, or at least a simple "thanks", before you eat. It's important to keep the big picture in mind. The animals are sacrificed so that you may live. Don't make them regret it.

Ah. Many of them make threads about it b/c some of them believe that not eating meat makes them more spiritual or less aggressive than 'meat eaters' or something like that.

Others are just in a bad mood or something? And deficiency really might be it in some cases.

All I know is I once suffered a B-12 and protein deficiency (as well as K and D), so whenever I see a thread like that, if I think it may do some good I try to warn them to get B-12, supplement if you have to, and to be careful of, particularly, vegan hype.

You can imagine how well this goes over sometimes. It is rare that I warn, b/c most of the time I don't think it'll be heard. But when I do, I just do it for anyone who may be able to benefit.
