Very scary video. That Splash Mountain ride, with the slalom coming down the big hill, just imagine how easy would that slalom derail and fly off the track if a gator were to get on the track at the bottom of the hill. Could be devastating.
Disney has been criminally reckless. They're lucky their stupidity didn't end in tragedy sooner.

Lots of innocent gators gonna die because humans need to be in their territory to separate people from their hard earned money.

They don't need to do a gator kill off. At all. The child's death would be in vain if they did that. They just need to build some gator-proof perimeter walls. If that makes the Disney area a little less "scenic" than so be it. The safety of the tourists should trump everything else.

Ya'll should read a little about one of the only parks Disney ever closed down, River Country. It's canals meet the lagoon, and while it was shut down it was not demolished. My point is, this is no surprise, when I went to River Country in the 70's it was scary as shit, no fencing, alligators everywhere, what have they known and how long have they known? All that being said, people need to wise up a little, it's florida, there are dangers there, and knowing about them might just keep you or your family alive.

Sounds like you have emotional issues rather than legitimate concerns. You can capture and remove a gator without killing it, and as the other poster said, they should erect gator-proof fencing around the perimeter. NASA does so for their launch pads and sensitive areas around KSC (heck, they're in the middle of a wildlife refuge FILLED with gators).

People should google Disney River Country and see how close the lagoon/sand is to where people are swimming!
