This is easy. All men are ugly. If you think another man is handsome - are you basing that on your attraction to them or some female standard that you have been programmed with?

It's because men are competitive. And always are extremely generous with self assesment.

Although I don't find them appealing, I can see why women would be attracted to Brad Pitt or Chris Hemsworth.

I will say that the dude that plays Thor is very blessed in the looks and height department.
