Doctors issue warning about LED streetlights

Very informative. Now I know why I've always hated LED lights.

You just have to choose the correct temp and they are fine.
Stay away from the High "bright white" temp.

Kelvin color temperature matters.
Too bright at night and it screws with your brain.

Surprised people don't already realize this.

I might be concerned if I hung around under streetlights.

Tylenol was doctor\hospital recommended for 30 years, turns out it did more damage than good..

Doctors lost all credibility.

Sorry but for doctors I lost all respect, they do not know what the fuck they are talking about.

I avoid them like the plague.

you guys want to get UVEX safety eyewear, SCT Orange UV Extreme anti-fog lenses. Wear these babies, they make ones that wrap around glasses, tight fit, you name it. These lenses blocks the UV spectrum BS put off by these LED lights as well as your phone/tv/computer screens.

Studies have shown that such light, especially from the blue part of the spectrum, inhibits the body’s production of melatonin, a hormone that helps people fall asleep.

Let your eyes relax.

There was an old study that attributed increased cancer rates to led lights in the home, affecting sleep.

Couldn't have been too old, LED lighting is relatively new...

I'm a lighting engineer in the live entertainment industry.. If this were true~? Wouldn't entertainers performing under thousands of lumens of LED lighting at 6400K night after night year after year now be blind~? I stair into and focus hundreds of high power LED lights everyday.. My vision has been the same since high school..

I figured it out last winter, when I had 5000K curly bulbs in my studio room. Sleeping was just weird and I was always tired. I changed them to 2700K and all is much better.

No, it's OK if it's for that person's "daytime". It's a problem if they don't get enough darkness at their "nighttime" period, and lower K temp lighting for a few hours before that.

One of the few times that mainstream and alternative medicine agree!

Not true for red LEDs, and orange is OK.

Damn, and I just bought some LED 40W bulbs for the lamps around the house. They're supposto last 13 years. 'they say'

LEDs have been around since around 1970, but they've only been general merchandise for the last 15 years or so.

Actors and stage performers perform under thousands of lumens @ 6400K in the case of actors sometimes 18 hours per day.. Stage performers often till the wee hours of the morning.. In over 30 years deploying the largest LED entertainment lighting systems in the world.. Not once has performer mentioned a problem~?

I'm still leaning towards complete BS..

Just what I need~? A bunch of ego maniacs now demanding LED free lighting or modified lighting.. but what would I know about lighting only having spent 297,430 hours as a lighting engineer.. I'd better just listen up and get to the doctor immediately.. Sounds to me like someone might need to adjust the LED lighting in their safe space..

Isn't it interesting that they failed to mention the well established science of led therapy , Photodynamic Light therapy ... Like most doctors fail to prescribe Veganisn as the cure to the plague ...

^^^ Agree. I prefer the warmer colors also. 5000K is too stark white/blueish for my taste.

if they are complaining about street LEDS why aren't they complaining about LEDS right in your face IN your house?

You utter morans! if the AMA say LED streetlights are bad for you then obviously they are secretly GOOD FOR YOU. Why would they tell you about a real health hazard, why would they help you, and why the hell would they care about YOU?

Do the opposite of what these people tell you.

My guess is that these LED streetlights maybe activate your 3rd eye, or brake your conditioned mind control programming or something that empowering that they are afraid of.

Bottom line is LED lights must be good.

I bet the AMA tells you that FLUORIDE IS GOOD FOR YOU.
