Yup, I've heard a lot of cops will only associate with other cops and their families, only let their kids play with other cop's kids, etc.

And some police depts encourage that sort of thing, to keep the "us versus them" mindset strong.

They consider themselves to be a different class of people. Which they are -- muscle and bodyguards for the elite ...

People like that don't appreciate the police whatsoever, and think they'd be better off with no civil authority. They have no idea what they're in for.

Any society worth anything will establish a civil authority to maintain order. Chuckleheads who hate the police are delusional if they think they'd be better off with no police.

The perception of LEO's have changed since they were shoehorned into become revenue generators.

Call the police to report that your home has been burglarized and in many places they will just tell you to come to the station and fill out a report -- same with a stolen car, etc ...

Lol my older brother was a cop one time.He would always try and come hang out with us on duty while we were smoking weed and maybe drinking.
Whenever he would put on his uniform I'd just hate his presence.

Local Cops are more awake than you think. Yeah there are jerks on power trips but luckily that's not the majority. Once you are an LEO people treat you differently. The local cops that I'm friends with have our back and will have our back when SHTF. They are as awake as many of us.

We were always really close.

Now I don't recognise him.

Be prepared for a long slow case of PTSD. No one will appreciate you. You're a traitor, oppressive, abusive, trigger happy and what not. Never mind that you'll beat Fire & EMS to accidents because they don't exceed the speed limit. Stay in this line of work and you'll hold children while waiting for EMS and not knowing if they'll live. You'll see the horrid, cruel, stupid garbage we humans do to each other for the stupidest reasons.

Children beat to death by their dad for eating a candy bar, people that texted and are now smeared on the pavement of the oncoming traffic lanes.

They aren't truly "working for the government". They arent the political elite. Just slaves like the rest of us
