OP, when I was young I thought the same thing.

At a point I finally realized that my mom & dad did the best they could.

And then later I realized they did pretty damn good!

I was atleast half the problem by being too damn over-sensative about everything.

A moma bear teaches her cubs to fish for salmon...some cubs get injured & some wash away & die...
