Does anyone think VW will bring back diesel cars?

They can't make them to pass US emissions standards...

Diesel cars are increasingly hated in Europe due to the type of pollution they make. I guess EU is planning to ban diesel engines (by 2025?) in the future. Not sure if US would also follow.

There's a car they sell in Europe that gets 96 miles to the gallon that can't be sold here because of emissions, not that it doesn't burn cleaner than anything sold here, it's because they don't have all the emission equipment on it, it on the tail pipe test burns clean as hell, but when they add on all the horse shit the law requires the damn thing only gets 30 mpg. Go figure all the smog and emissions shit we have to have on our cars actually kills MPG. google it.

Who could want all that MPG killing shit on our cars???

...also there is only so much diesel easily refined from a barrel of crude....diesel is needed for: freight transportation (trucking and rail), agriculture (food production),home heating, and military.

all this high mpg crap is just that.

ford and vw are getting exactly the same mpg, all these fiqures quoted are for brand new engines.

in the uk they start off around 75 mpg when new, but after a few thousand miles this is down to 50 mpg.

VW will bring no cars again to murica, because VW is done with your judicative!

Maybe Mercedes and BMW will also stop selling cars to you.

I'd love to have a diesel car...but not the new ones.

What i would love to get my hands on is one of the old 1970's model Mercedes diesels 1970 to 1973...with the double stacked headlights....those f*cking things lasted forever...people getting a million miles out of them is not a rare thing.

They put out no more pollution than anything....people are pissy about the unique smell of diesel....
