Report Copyright Violation | Why Didn't Terrorists Target 4th of July Celebrations I am more surprised that a major attack didn't occur, than if one did occur. Seems like there would be several very easy, high count targets across the nation and the political statement and timing would be huge. I was fully expecting to wake up to terrible news of at least one attack, and no the single incident in NY does not count. I'm glad nothing happened, I just thought for sure this year something was going to be planned. I have come to believe that the CIA is more involved with ISIS attacks from either providing resources, training, or both than I originally thought so maybe they have even bigger plans in store.
