Newt Gingrich was an advocate for gun control for decades...stood side by side with Nancy Pelosi

Ever find yourself watching a presidential debate wondering why the moderator isn't asking the tough, hard-hitting questions you want asked? Believe me, I know the feeling . . . . . . especially since this crop of Republican presidential candidates features so many candidates with anti-gun records. You and I know all about Mitt Romney's long history of supporting gun control -- he signed a gun ban as Governor of Massachusetts. He is an enemy of gun owners. But then there is the lessor-known anti-gun record of Newt Gingrich. I'm not surprised at all that he continues to stonewall gun owners by refusing to return his National Association for Gun Rights Presidential Survey. The fact is, Newt Gingrich has had a long love affair with the anti-gun crowd. Please take a minute or two right now to review Newt Gingrich's decades-long support of gun control: *** Newt supports a national biometric thumbprint database for gun purchasers -- He doesn't think that the Brady National Gun Registry goes far enough and that gun owners should be forced to undergo fingerprinting before they are allowed to purchase a firearm; *** Newt supports the Lautenberg Gun Ban -- He voted to strip law-abiding gun owners of their 2nd Amendment rights for life, simply because they spanked their children or did nothing more than grab the wrist of a spouse; *** Newt supports the “Criminal Safezones Act” --

Newt will say / do anything NOW to get in good graces of Trump... but he is a snake.

Makes perfect sense to me that Trump would pick Newt as a running mate. Trump is a strong advocate of gun control as well.

When asked if people on the no-fly or terrorist watch list should be prohibited from purchasing a gun, Trump said "I'd like to see that, and I'd like to say it. And it's simpler. It's just simpler."

“I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns,” Trump tweeted.

And by the way, documents obtained by The Intercept in 2013 showed as many as 47,000 people were on the No Fly List in 2013. There are several reasons for inclusion, with offenses ranging from being suspected of direct terrorist activity or traveling to certain countries to posting controversial social media messages or a simple clerical error.

Careful what you post here, or President Trump might put you on "the list".

Do you seriously think that Donald Trump is not familiar with Newt and his intentions?

Why is it that everyone keeps trying to conveniently forget about Trump's most recent support for draconian gun control law?
