Build one of the EMP devices found @ various Alternative Electronics websites. Get a Wireless Remote Switch while your there. Conceal the device down @ street level. Under the mailbox, in the mailbox post, fence, bushes/landscape, etc. You'll hear the car coming, I assume, in time to get to your window with the remote switch. Zap the fuker, the car will die on the spot. Should you want, you can sit and enjoy watching the owner have the car towed from the comfort of your window.

I have nothing useful to add, but this is one of the most useful threads I've seen on GLP. The kind of idiots who blast their car stereos loud enough to loosen the lug-nuts on their car and affect the Earth's rotation are not the kind of people who are going to listen to polite entreaties to be considerate of the sensibilities of their neighbors or anyone they pass by with this crap. When dealing with such people, I think a little anonymous sabotage such as some of the posters have so helpfully proposed is in order. One flat-on-the-road-dead car or, even better, a severly-burnt stereo should be sufficient to alert the less-insensate of them that their behavior is giving offense.

An EMP gun would be great. Just point it at the car and ZAP! Nothing in it will work again. I wish I had one because I'd love to zap a few of these idiots myself. It would be one thing if it was good music. And it would help if they had a decent sounding system instead of playing this crap on speakers that have no bass and in a car that has so many rattles it sounds like it's going to fall apart. Isn't it interesting that with ALL the various kinds of music out there it's only the people who listen to hip hop/rap that feel the whole world wants to hear their crap?
