Question, would a rotating outer ring that's been the popular gravity simulation in sci-fi for decades have any affect on this? Is it related to gravity at all? Could the lighting conditions and not using the full spectrum of focal distance that we would on Earth be involved?

I love that we have space agencies and now private sector space ventures filled to the brim with human smarter than I figuring this all out.

It may very well be the solution to some of the physiological issues
associated with space flight.

When i was working in the space program during the early shuttle days,
this was one of the methods being explored for growing crops while on
orbit.

One of the labs near mine was using 55 gallon drums as a test bed. They
removed the lid and bottom, turned it on it's side and planted different
plants in growth medium caked on the interior wall. While on it's side it
was rotated about the horizontal axis with a grow lamp running down the
center.

Worked like a charm. Over time, all of the plants grew towards the lamp
running down the center of the drum.

It would be interesting to see where all of these research programs have
led since that time.

They are getting ready to end the ISS program. nobody believes any of this NASA crap anymore. The dude who did the last Space Station tour propaganda video was very very 4th wall-ish. They actually showed that the galley has stains. He said the toilet was disgusting. Which it would be. With out the trillions of microbes and insects that break down waste that space station would be full of dead skin, feces, urea, salt, etc. No they aren't keeping it clean with soap and water.

Submarines have microbes on board. They surface and refuel regularly. But every 9 months or so they have to take all the electronics out and steam bath all crew areas. The space station is pushing on 20 years now and they have never vented the thing once. much less hose it down. they can't. there are no bulkheads between rooms.

The whole purpose of the space programs is a occultist ritual our occultists leaders use to keep from throwing the bodies of us slaves against each other in meaningless wars. They take our tax money instead. They claim they are doing "science"

With hillary we are going to have a major war. All the NASA people will be tasked to kill them for real programs, and high tech war propaganda.

Then in 10 years. They'll fire it all back up again. Meanwhile 50% of men will continue to die from cancer. 40% of women. We will remain the highest taxed nation on earth.

And the space tards will say we don't care enough about "science" because we are dumb.

It has been clear to me for a long time that we will need artificial gravity a la rotating spacecraft for long missions.

The bone loss alone is a show stopper not to mention that the cosmic ray bombardment will kill a lot of crew on multi year missions.

I proposed using a cycling space station that uses an asteroid for shielding mass. Such a cycling space station could be entirely self contained growing food, renewing oxygen, etc. The explorers would use a smaller craft to dock as it passed Earth and a capsule to land on Mars. Credit goes to Buzz Aldrin who proposed something similar a generation before me.

I have to admit that I think it is a mistake to land humans on Mars. We will contaminate the hell out of it with our microbes.

I had the opportunity to meet with the Allen Hills meteorite scientists. They had strong evidence that they did not publish that showed life on Mars.

Mars is a pretty hostile environment as well with peroxides on the surface. They ate the seals out of some early probes. Nasty stuff to bring back into the airlock on your suit.

Do you know what the live feed of earth from the ISS goes down every 30 minutes or so, for 15 minutes? But the live feed of any whorhols grave never goes down?

Its because NASA has to load the new CGI roll with current weather patterns. on earth.

Why do they have to do that? Because some people noticed that there were things like typhoons and hurricane that should have been visible from space, but were not in the old feed.

Can humans pass the van Allen radiation belt without physical harm? I've read that this is a problem and even a NASA astronaut said it was a problem. I have no idea and am not convinced we ever had people above high earth orbit. Anything you can share would be great.

So, this must be due to nutrient distribution changes caused by zero gravity.

No real problem for a Mars mission cuz centripetal force will be used to create artificial gravity in a spinning habitation section of the craft. Now, if the problem is actually due to electromagnetic radiation, more shielding will be the answer.

They did a lot of work around the visuals in the space station to prevent the astronauts eyes and inner ears from degrading like mentioned by OP.

It seems the engineering back then was better than what we have right now. In the current ISS they are in some sort of bizzaro world. It would make sense that the eyes/ears/brains would try to overcompensate.

Van allen belts are donut shaped. You can exit at the poles.

Good idea on tge asteroid thought.

I live elon, but mars is 100% no go.

Cosmic rays, sokar flares, no gravity, time.

Rocket all you want but its just nearly impossible without a ship moving 10x faster, needs magnetic shielding like a personal magnetoshere. Plus rotation or other gravity form.

We dont have public craft for these types of shows, however im sure our secret space society go there on the reg.

It seems the engineering back then was better than what we have right now. In the current ISS they are in some sort of bizzaro world. It would make sense that the eyes/ears/brains would try to overcompensate.
