Let's look at this logically.

Would God want us to be good to each other?

Would God reward us for being good to each other?

Would God want us to kill each other?

Would God reward us for killing each other?

On one hand we have a book where God tells us to love each other.

On the other hand we have a book where God tells us to kill anyone that doesn't believe in him according to that book.

Logically which do you suppose would actually be something God would want us to do?

People who Experience the Creator are compelled to describe it, to talk about it, to help others to understand it. Some things that human beings do bring only pain and misery to themselves and others, but they were taught it was ok. These people who experienced Creator try to issue corrections, letting you understand consequence. Evil men take those lessons and spin them into a fear based construct in order to create conformity. Simply because this is allowed does not mean there is no Creator, but really only those who witnessed themselves can be certain, and anything they say sounds like a load of shit to anyone who has not. So there is the paradox. In essence you are wrong and you are right, for the exact same reason....a paradox is it not?

Until you are born again, you won't see the glory of God.

And what that means is, until you have a catalyzing event in your life based on having had faith in him turns into knowing him after experiencing something that changes you and your understanding to the very core. You effectively jump to a higher vibration when that happens and life and your perspective are forever changed and you live from that point on in communion with God through the way presented by Jesus.

After that the path becomes narrow because right and wrong become more strongly defined, with a higher contrast.

It is almost as if the book itself is a composite of what to do and what not to do, conveniently rewritten in such a way that it creates a paradox- what if...what if that is there on purpose, was allowed on purpose to test the hearts of men. Do you kill for God because the book said so, or do you agree with "Thou shalt not Kill" because killing brings a consequence that you may not like, and a Guilt that cannot be unwashed from you for your entire lifetime. They say "the first one is the hardest" in the movies, they say it in life as well...and it is true. Once you do it you know you are damned, and then whatever life you have left, nothing will change that....but it will change you for the whole lifetime, your ego can convince you there was no consequence...swallow down the guilt and do it again and again....

It is almost as if a time of "immediately apparent consequence" is in order for humanity to prevent them from great harm to themselves and this world.

I understand that after a hard time in your life you turn to something more spiritual, that a 9 to 5 and saving for your next holiday is not what life's about.

But that Jesus stuff I see parotted all the time, I don't understand at all.
How can people believe some ancient mystical story about a guy walking on water and turning water into wine?
There are tens of thousands of sects cults and religions out there, why do people pick Jesus and not Shiva or the Flying Spaghetti monster or any of the other millions of gods out there?

Actually, islam is the "anti-christ" religion and is being played out before your eyes. Some try to reduce it to things like "god is love" and all that... but it's more than that, and yet it's really quite simple. You either choose eternal paradise, or eternal separation/damnation - you have a choice and most people are aware of how to save their souls.

Satan wants to separate you from that, and deceptions are placed in your way. You just have to see it for what it is and avoid the trap.

I would say that most Christians haven't had the catalyzing event in their life, they are born into the religion and believe in it more as tradition and not the spiritual/quantum wholly science way.

There's Christian of every denomination, and then there's "born again" Christian which tend to lose all notions of denominational churches and just follow the words of Jesus as the example of how to be and to commune with the way daily with everything you do, for they will judge you by your fruits.

I myself was born into a french Canadian Roman Catholic family and sent to catholic school until I was kicked out for being too inquisitive and not taking everything the nuns were spewing out for "cash". They were not intelligent enough to answer my questions.

People in Christianity don't tend to have the Spirit of Truth which is HOLY but mislabled. It is the Spirit of JESUS bestowed on this world to guide men into truth and those that believe in a viscious God that fries those he doesn't like for all eternity do not have the spirit of truth in them.
