Don't know about that but the GOP should replace trump if they want to have a chance to win in November.

Re: POLL: Should Trump -- at some point -- remove Pence as VP and pick someone else?
Trump fucked-up in picking Pence for one, simple reason: he betrayed himself, and the entire tone and approach of his campaign.

Now, in fairness, there are plenty of positives when it comes to Pence and we can talk about that, but it's really not what is important (and there are plenty of negatives, too).

What was important was the tone Trump set with the pick. Trump needed to pick an outsider or military person, someone like Gen. Flynn. Or, he needed a bold pick, like black Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke Jr. or Allen West. There are also strong women he could have picked, liked retired four star general Ann Dunwoody.

Any of these more out-of-the-box, bold picks would have served the message of Trump's campaign, served to win over women and/or minorities, and created positive buzz.

Instead, Trump chose to "unite the party" and cow to the Republican Estbalishment with a "safe" pick. Just look at how enthusiastically Paul Ryan and Jeb Bush responded to the Pence pick. That should tell you something.

As I said, there are some immediate positives of Pence in terms of mollifying and supplicating butthurt GOPes, but in the long-game, it's a mistake.

Now, here's what I believe "went down":

I personally believe Trump's "heart" was not in picking Pence. I say that for many reasons, but mainly because Trump said today that "he was my first pick!", which is a typical Trumpian giveaway that he's trying to cover something up that's actually true by doubling-down or over-stating something. Pence was not his first pick.

He and Pence aren't close and don't know each other well. Manafort and others pressured Trump into picking him.

Pence's team leaked the pick, too, and Trump found out about it and reportedly was not happy. That's a sign there's trouble. You don't leak something like that and fuck-up a golden media moment in Trump World. That's a bad way to start things off. If I were Trump, I would be livid.

Now, here's what I think will happen:

Pence will get Trump through the GOP Convention, but at some point in September or sooner, Trump will drop him.

The reasons will be some kind of insubordination or conflict, maybe a scandal, real or not -- I don't know. Trump will have to have a reason.

Then he'll pick the right person.

It will be controversial, but Trump will survive it. Trump will re-grain any negativity by picking a very bold person to replace Pence, one that everyone will like and get behind (Pence, on the other hand, may not be eligible to run for releection in Indiana, so he may be royally screwed.)

Forcing myself to watch George Snuffleupagus.
They just played an anti-Pence ad.

Then they played a supporting clip.

This is supposed to make me NOT like Pence?

Re: POLL: Should Trump -- at some point -- remove Pence as VP and pick someone else?
This is really beating a dead horse. Anyone who has been following Trump closely for the past 6 - 10 mos should not find his VP shocking in the least.

Trump has been saying all along that he was going to pick an experienced politician. This has been reported in MSM for months now:

"He ruled out a business-oriented pick on the basis that he doesn't "need that type of ability."

An experienced politician, on the other hand, has already been vetted by the media and public, so it's less likely that people would "find out that they were doing terrible, terrible things with their life," Trump said."

Weeks before Trump even picked Pence, he was mentioned on the short list. Days before Trump made his announcement, it was leaked on Breitbart that he would be picking Pence. None of this is shocking, unless you've been living under a rock for the past few months.

Pence is going to be Trump's errand boy in DC, going to the meetings, getting Trumps' policies and agendas pushed through. Some rogue individual with absolutely no political experience would not be successful at doing this like Pence will be.

If there's one thing we know about Trump, and why we support him, he's got killer instinct, astute, a good read of character and always chooses the right person for the right job.

You cannot win an election without both. The money will come in. The RNC hates Hillary more than Trump regardless of what you hear. The main donors will cough up the money rather then sit by and watch ANOTHER 4 years of Obama.

The Mid-West votes will win Trump the election.

Nailed it. Backside Uncle Intel said that Trump's first pick is Flynn, but he was backed into a corner for convention.

I expect it to go down as you described.

Yes some kind of "conflict in philosophy" will happen such as Pence having good ideas like wanting to take Donald on an open car ride to Dealey Plaza.

I think POTUS DON will eventually pick someone much younger that isnt a a free fucking trader.

I think Donald will also inform the people that America BECAME great when:

It didnt have a PRIVATE FOR ROTHSCHILD PROFIT central bank
It had high TARIFFS to have internal development
It didnt have open borders to FREELOADERS

Pence is against 1 and 2 and is a pussy on 3.

He needs to go after Donald is POTUS. Donald will probably have him take an "important" ambassadors position in Japan or some such shit to make it look good.

Or just say: You're fired, BIGLY.

Of course its all timing. Perhaps DON POTUS the first, gets his agenda through with the nation getting back on its feet and then whacks the mole.

well i guess as long as we are making up pretend scenarios and stories, i think trump, being a HUGE fan of the pauls due to this thread:

will kick pence off the ticket, then decide it's time for true change, and will hand the republican nomination off to ron paul for prez and rand for veep and jesse ventura will be sec of state.

You can't look indecisive, even if Pence was not his first pick. But I don't see how he can get away with picking someone without Political experience, that is where Hillary is going to throw him under the bus, he had to pick an experienced politician. Not a military person or what not, experience IMO is all that Hillary has, she has bad decision making etc but she does have political experience whether good or not. I think Pence will be fine, he has to take orders from Trump not the other way around.

Exactly. He is pulling the same shit he did in the primaries only now inverted. In the primaries he went all out with the rhetoric and the tough guy stuff in order to appeal to the more extreme voters. He knew most republicans would never switch to vote for Sanders or Clinton.
Now he is doing the same inverted. He is pandering to the moderate miltoast bibleloving conservatives because he knows the more extreme republicans are NEVER going to vote for Clinton.
He needs their support, he is not going to win with just loyal Trump fans, and he is not going to win by just having the moderates vote for him, he needs their support.

And besides, the VP is just a doormat. Somebody like Flynn would have far more merit as SOS or some other actual functional cabinet position.
You want a VP that won't hurt you. Choosing someone like Flynn might mean he has to be too much on the forefront during the elections, the more exposure the more chance of something stupid happening that might hurt Trump. You want some dud, somebody with low profile who people don't really care about.
