Star knowledge says that the seven stars in the dipper are known as the seven stages of lifeway.
In the mans(slightly different from womans) pathway, Tokahe is the first star whom was a leader and tricked by Iktomi into bringing the people up onto the surface which was the transition of rock into fire age. The seven stages was a representation of the evolution of consciousness of the 4 ages.
4 was seen as a sacred significant number as each lesson has four understandings.
