I am also interested in any beats that could foster healing....specfically something that could help reverse or alleviate hypoxic damage.

FWIW, I found some on YouTube by searching "binaural". Interesting, but they made me headache-y and a little cranky. It might just be me, though. Headphones and I don't get along too well.

It doesn't work like that. The perception of subsonic frequencies in the binaural technique comes from a slight frequency difference in the left ear input vs the right ear input. Clearly audible frequencies are involved, below say 1 kHz.

Example:
- left ear input: 50 Hz sine wave
- right ear input: 60 Hz sine wave
=> the impression of a 10 Hz beat is produced by the brain's sound processing functions.

You don't need anything more that good standard phones, like Koss portapro, Sennheiser px100, cx300, stuff like that.

It could be added that some speaker systems, not to mention ventilation systems etc, are capable of producing "real" subsonic frequencies. They are not "heard" per definition but subsonic frequencies have marked effects on the body, regardless if they are real or virtual (binaurally produced).

Be careful with this stuff.

I agree. Buy something from the monroe institute, dont just make your own. It is quite powerful, especially if you are susceptible to suggestion.
