Anybody else see the weird cloud pillars infront of the moon last night?

I was driving home from work last night around 530 and i looked at the moon, which was huge at that time, then it went out of site as i drove around some turns. When it came back into my view there was this long thin pillar of something, it wasnt smoke, and there are no factories around, it looked thicklike a cloud... i kept looking every chance i could, when i lost view again then came back to see a second one, i dont know if this one just appeared or if i couldnt see it because it wasnt lit by the moon bt this one had the same consistancy and was just tall but much thinner... together they made a huge V around the moon. My co-worker saw the same thing and we are confused as hell, these things were going straight up in the air. I am up in north jersey if anyone else saw anything or has some guesses let me know

I do "cloud" research. Is it possible the "cloud pillar" was stretched across the sky directly toward you from a distant point? I am not trying to say you did not see something unusual, but am wondering if it might have looked this way because of the perspective you had where you were standing.How close were you to what you were looking at? Do you think the "cloud" of interest was at some distance or was it real close to something you know on the ground to estimate distance? Was their any wind? Could the "cloud" or whatever been wider in the distance and maybe narrower on your end and floating horizontally in the sky above you directly toward you?

if i remember correctly it was like a pole almost, same at the top and at the bottom, i think there was very light wind at that time of the night. i couldnt tell you how close they were, but they looked fairly close

Could they have been steam pillars as the heat rose from some source? I have seen that kind of thing in Texas in the past near refineries for example. "No one is as deaf as the person who will not hear."

I saw something very strange once. This was a vew years ago. Clouds move or dissipate eventually, but what I waw didn't move. It was a shadow, almost rectangular covering part of the moon. Other people saw the strange shape, also. It didn't move! I read that is was the shadow of a large ship behind the moon. The ship had backed up. Pillars; now that's interesting.

I saw this last night too and thought it was odd, but I just figured it was chemtrails. I've seen them spray at night during full moons before.

A couple of days back i noticed the moon had a small aura, which ive noticed many times, only the last time it had the usual aura also a huge outer aura imean maybe 3 or 4 times the size of the moon surrounding the inner aura. My girlfriend said shed never seen it like this before it was kinda bluish, im sure feel something is definately coming soon.

I live in Pa. and looked up at the moon last night and there was what appeared to be like rays coming from the moon and going across the sky. It was a single line eminating from each side of the moon. It didn't look like a contrail so I figured it was like a moon dog if there was any high altitude ice crystals. I will look again tonight.

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Authorities were trying to identify a mysterious metallic object that crashed through the roof of a house in eastern New Jersey.

Nobody was injured when the golf-ball sized object, weighing nearly as much as a can of soup, struck the home and embedded itself in a wall Tuesday night. Federal officials sent to the scene said it was not from an aircraft.

The rough-surfaced object, with a metallic glint, was displayed Wednesday by police.

"There's some great interest in what we have here," said Lt. Robert Brightman. "It's rather unusual. I haven't seen anything like it in my career."

Maybe the pillar you saw was a smoke trail of something that came down as the story above notes in New Jersey. Check the times. "No one is as deaf as the person who will not hear."
