As far as I always knew Charles would never be king. I can't remember why, but something to with Diana, maybe because he divorced her, I can't quite remember, but I always was under the impression that William was next n line for the throne. I grew up in the UK by the way.

I think you are right. I don't think he will get it, or wants it.

It used to be that a king or he who would be king, could not be king if he was to marry a woman who had been divorced. This is why what's his name abdicated and handed the baton to Lizzy's pops. From recall, I think this law was changed.

I'm pretty sure that a few years back, Charles said he did not want the throne & was happy to pass it onto William. We can see over the years how much Charles has lived a quiet life in the background & away from public scrutiny. He likes his organic farming, arts & a quiet life.

William is the one who has been in the limelight since he got out of college. Imo, he has/is being groomed for the Throne.
