I wonder about that now, you have me thinking if I was suspected of something that I, in fact, didn't do, or that time proved that I didn't do....

That is so true about much, what you bolded. But I remain steadfast with not having much faith in the justice of the Universe...beyond the courts, it just has proven time and time again to be skewed or manipulated unaligned with right/wrong and or karma.
