Beaten up again tonight by radical Hindus

Beaten up again tonight by radical Hindus. My fault for preaching alone (Swaroop had to go to Guntur, and another brother was not available.) Punched, slapped, kicked repeatedly and almost strangled with my amplifier neck strap. A huge lynch mob of about 50 members of the Bajrang Dal (radical Hindu group responsible for Christian persecution) converged on me as I was distributing Bibles and doing one-on-one evangelism after my preaching. They kept telling me to say "Jai Sri Ram" which means "Hail Rama" (a Hindu deity) or they would continue to thrash me (for a few minutes I thought tonight would be my last). I kept on telling them I would not betray my Lord by hailing their gods, and they continued to punch me. They dragged me in front of a temple and were going to force me to wear a tika or mark on my forehead in honor of Hinduism which I utterly refused, but the police intervened right before they could do that (I did not fight back at all when they were repeatedly punching and kicking me and dragging me in the road, but I would have fought with all my fight if they tried to put a mark of the beast, even the mark of devils on my forehead).Spent a couple of hours at the police station and have to go back tomorrow. One Brahmin man was telling the police lies (thinking I didn't understand Telugu), saying that I was spreading anti-Indian sentiment. They were angry because I preached atop the ladder, drew a large crowd, and distributed nearly 70 New Testaments in three languages to eager recipients.

The worst part is some Pentecostals came to my house seeming to support me, but then basically rebuked me for not having received the baptism of the Holy Spirit and this being the cause of my persecution. Needless to say, I hammered them over and over again with Scripture after Scripture (one pastor even said we don't need the Word of God we need miracles).

Please pray for my expectant wife and that this does not complicate my residence in India.

Just another day at the office. Please pray that our Lord alone is magnified in my body, whether by life or death. I refuse to press charges against my persecutors, though they are pressing charges against me and that is why I have to go back to the police station tomorrow.

Praise God there were no concussions or a bloody face this time. I have now been beaten badly by all three radical Hindu groups -- the RSS, VHP, and Bajrang Dal. Do you think I will stop open-air preaching? Ha ha I don't think so. Hooah. Bring it on, Hell -- I could do this all day everyday if it wasn't for my family and pastoral duties (I would be dead by now if that was the case).
