Sorry this is wrong on so many levels.

1 - in a multiverse system its possible there are essentially unlimited (or relative to our understanding, or feasibility of reaching each one) number of universes. Which means the progression of time travel would extend across one to the next.

e.g. Time Travel invented in 2000AD, guy goes to 10,000BC, but arrives in the next universe. In which case some would have early time-travel, some might have it enter theirs later.

2 - there are histories of UFOs dating back to thousands of years BC, in cave paintings. Biblical sightings, fiery "wheels" - Religious & Mesopotamian texts which speak of meeting gods (advanced beings). 1500s, France, waves of UFOs, attributed to religious phenomena. Essentially there's a super long history of what could be time travel, or aliens, or inter-dimensional beings. There's even records/legends of people slipping through time only to come back.

2(a) - Then you have the government covering up Roswell, creating the Military Industrial Complex around the same time. Right after they got the top Nazi researchers, some worked on the Bell (presumed time travel device). Repeated public outcry about UFOs made the USAF open official investigations, sign, grudge, bluebook, which were all official cover ups. Lied about the evidence in them. Then closed the book officially.

In short: Easily could there already be interaction between time-travellers. In fact it might even be forgivable for them to hide it, since there's obvious issues that can arise out of temporal displacement.

Now, if they would only release the damn files we might have a final word on it all.
