Yellowstone About To Blow? Concentrated Levels of CO2 Prompt Fears of an Eruption Coming

i have a idea, there is a huge pressure build up there and gov have tunnel making machines yes ?
why dont gov make lots of km/ miles of tunnels and send the tunnel machines into the underground lava pit , by doing that releving pressure ?

Nope. Not logical at all, AC. The magma underneath Yellowstone is fairly close to the surface. So any man-made tunnels would be in 200*+F heat at a minimum. In fact, such tunnel construction would most likely be abandoned without highly advanced A/C technologies pumping in super cooled air down into those would-be tunnels.

It's been this way for a month or 2 now.

They should make tunnels to create power. They could use the force from the magma flow to rotate giant turbines. Instead of Yellowstone destroying America, it could give us free power for centuries to come. We could also form the lava into blocks that could be used for huge construction projects, perhaps new roads and bridges, maybe a giant wall, or even a new island. If there is anything left over it could be added to the drinking water to increase the minerals and give people healthy bones and teeth. I think they need to start drilling into the dome as soon as possible to find out just how much power Yellowstone can generate.

That maybe like drilling a hole in a balloon to relieve pressure. Any small hole made might grow big real fast as molten lave melts tunnel walls out.

if tunneling like i said was to not carryed out to plan/accessd properly and the end result meaning a huge incline in surface/water temp world wide.

the globe temp would have to be controled manualy ( ie more clouds and other projects ) to try and balance it out as much as possible
