id get a german or belgian shepperd crossed with a husky. this way you get the best of 2 and the dog will have less breeding flaws. german sheppards for 3xample have alot of hip problems. many breeds are to much interbred....

Picking the right dog breed is very important, and is decided by a few critical factors.

1. Will you give the dog sufficient exercise. If your only going to take the dog on a 15 minute walk around the neighborhood, shepard breeds along with most other breeds aren't for you.

2. Knowledge of dog behavior. If you don't know anything about dog psychology then get a dumb little dog.

3. Living quarters. Most dogs will do fine in all living situations as long as they are sufficiently exercised. Keep in mind, if you are renting, most places have a weight limit on dogs if they even allow them at all.

DON'T BE ONE OF THOSE DUMB FUCKS THAT GOES OUT AND GETS A GERMAN SHEPARD AND CAN'T HANDLE IT. DOGS ARE LIABILITIES AS WELL AS FRIENDS.

Get a boxer, They are loving and loyal but would follow you into the pits of hell.

I got a rott, she scares criminals away from your preps.

Bigger the better when it comes to protection, but keep in mind that the bigger it is, the more food/water it needs.


A male so you don't have to worry about a female calling in all the dogs to it within a 5 mile radius when it goest in heat.


Short hair to handle the heat, no grooming/self grooming.


Quiet and only barks at real threats.


A longer nose breed is better at tracking/finding food.



No matter what the breed, lots of training is still required.

pit bull, sweetest breed ever, super loyal, very protective and loving.

If you can feed it and take good care of it, it would be the best end days pup.

You could even rate it on a "end times asset effectiveness scale" 10 being the best and 1 being the worst

An Australian Cattle Dog. Smart, alert, lots of energy, and suspicious of new people.

Pit bull is a great breed, but too friendly for guard duty, unless you make it mean and if you make it mean, then you cannot trust it.

Schnoodle. Right size, smarter than hell, easily trained, don't shed, none of the genetic problems a lot of "purebred" strains have.

You don't pick your dog, your dog picks you. All it really wants is your love and to be next to you.

Best damn dogs on the planet. They are fiercely loyal, incredibly intelligent, and very loving.

Any dog breed can be mean or viscous if raised by terrible humans.

Dogs can be crazy though, one that bites while you're looking at it is a crazy dog/too mean and should be avoided or shot.

Cops use sheppards because they are easily trained to attack humans, so they are an unstable breed to start with.

My vote lies here with this poster. Shetland Sheepdogs are wonderful. I shared my life with one. Now I have an Icelandic Sheepdog and I love her to bits too.
Both these breeds are very smart and want to be your number one. They will both keep your spirits up if you are planning to go through some hard times. Just to look at my dogs beautiful face makes me smile. She comes to work with me and cheers people up during the daily grind.

Buy a weiner dog and then get lots of funny outfits for it. They're hilarious.

I'd recommend a Pitt or a Shepherd...I got both and they protect and are loyal.
