Quoting: Wisdom 72861860 Or do you resent it ? It is amazing how many people never question their mind set on such a profound fact of reality ! The best part about getting older is sex drive is not as strong....I don't fantasize like I once did. Not as horny. Everything still works, but I'm good without sex. Spouse is the same. We only have sex once a week now. Used to have it 5-7 times a week. His sex drive diminished first, but he's a little older. Love this chapter of my life. We cuddle more!!! Op... There is some honesty for you. Cuddle up you 2! Its not honesty , the end line of getting old is being a cripple , it may be 1 year or 20 years but it is going to happen if you live long enough |

I don't fear it, and I don't hurt all the time like so many fools who ruined their bodies for a buck, but I have seen the complete LACK of any wisdom in American Older people and I am saddened people expect me to hang out with the idiots because I'm older. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70064009 I've found that older Americans are so deluded and impossible to reach, I usually wont bother. Because every conversation goes to "I'm old, I've seen so much, Blah Blah" with not ONE fact to back up anything they think or believe. Ever seen those old people taking tablets , chemotherapy , wearing nappies wanting to live longer ? Loving their own slavery ? Ask them about the after life and they look at you like you are an alien! For a nonbeliever, in their mind, that's ridiculous. They're so rapped up in the failing vessel, but fail to understand the journey. Software vs. hardware bra. :simple: Last Edited by Jeffersons Blackberry on 08/25/2016 09:17 PM “To compel a man to furnish funds for the propagation of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”; Thomas Jefferson |

jennilicious User ID: 70297310 United States 08/25/2016 09:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I want to own it. I hope to never dye my hair, for example ... maybe I can have really nice gray hair ... I hope I live really long .. I'm aiming for 125+ ... so I want to get old softly and calmly - I have a lot of life left and don't want to burn out. 40 years old is definitely WAY WAY better than 25. When I look at how some people at 60 are living way better than me ... yeah ... work towards it and that's attainable. :) Thanks for the cool thread! When the shit hits the fan and the end is just nigh, will you cry out to Heaven? Will you lie down and die? Not me, my dear one - THIS IS MY SACRED LIFE - to no one nor no thing I'll surrender. For how does one know where when dead she will go, or if sweet Mother Earth he'll remember? - Sug |

Croc Resentment is a wise emotion if based on truth You would have to be a right fool to say that becoming weaker and frail is improving your life... So many old people just accept getting old its pathetic Sorry OP, you don't have a clue. The ego is the thing that mourns for the physical body as it ages. Because your ego is young and ignorant yet, it drives your thoughts in this direction you're going. I knew a young fella like you when I was young. He always made fun of old people as if he would never be like that. He didn't have a clue either. I knew then he'd have trouble when he got old, but I had no idea how he might deal with it. Well, now he lives his days in a little fluffy white bubble of denial and cognitive dissonance. The older he gets, the crazier he becomes. You will age OP. How will you deal with it? By the way, you shouldn't talk of wisdom before having any. |

So many old people just accept getting old its pathetic Everyone gets old, but that doesn't mean we have to degrade and die. Maybe, when we're like Jack LaLane was at 80 when we're 100, it will become possible to be 250+ no problem. NOTHING IS CERTAIN NOT EVEN DEATH OR TAXES (ask tptb, they'd agree ;)) But we'll never get there with all these self-defeating mantras. Keep those meat sacks in shape, people.
