What are some qualities in others that you would never befriend/help them ever again? What's your tipping point?

What do they have to do/say/be for you to never befriend/help ever again?

I have a small list. People who gossip about others. People who are on extended welfare/foodstamps and people who are obese or an eyesore for an extended period of time...and I don't mean thick boned or fat or whatever...it's the people who are close to 300 pounds that are just flat out nasty.

People who lie to me or others garner no respect from me and I have zero use for them. Of course I will hear, "Everybody lies so you must not have respect for anyone." Yes, everybody lies but "white lies" such as , "Oh, this chicken is delicious" when it's not good doesn't hurt anyone and spares the feelings of your host. Being deceitful and lying to benefit yourself at the expense of other is reprehensible.

If you are fat - it's your deal. I actually don't have any fat friends or family. It's not an active choice, it just is.

I don't know anybody on welfare ether. It's there as "a leg up"and was always intended to be temporary. People who manipulate the system to stay on it for life are bums but if the system wasn't designed the way it is they wouldn't be able to do it. Perhaps it's a form of social engineering. Give them just enough.....

I DO know people who gossip and I am occasionally guilty of it myself. I try to keep it in check but it does happen. I have never spread a rumor though. It is really unbecoming of a person and nothing good comes from it.

Willfully ignorant people bother me. You can't help it if you are just flat out stupid. That's genetics and environment stemming from childhood. People who choose not to explore the world around them and use their critical thinking skills are a waste of life. We live in a time where so much knowledge is available to us for free and most choose to watch TV instead.

And as a trivial, ridiculous and shallow side note; people who smack their food are not welcome in my company. Listening to someone slurp, crunch and eat loudly makes me want to slap the person.

See, to discern qualities and worth isn't a bad thing. Some people will just always fall short and it's not on you to change your morality and feelings to suit their needs.
