OP's claims were debunked years ago so don't even try to rationalize the post. The US Marines don't just torch every Opium farm they come across, nor would that make any sense.

They are there for the pharmaceutical companies. They make billions per year from this. That's why in the last fifteen years production jumped from +-3k tons, to nearly 10 tonnes. Heroin is an epidemic, yes. Regardless, troops are being used for profit rather than protection.
