Russia is conducting snap military drills across the country per directive from Vladimir Putin. These drills are being held between August 25th and August 31st and include such items as reserve call-up and the functioning of civilian authorities on war footing, reports Tsarizm.

Civilian reserves will be called up as part of the drill and briefed on a new system of reserve call-up to be implemented immediately after the end of the review process.

Such federal agencies as the Ministry of Signals and Communications, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Federal Reserve, and the Bank of Russia will all take part in the combat readiness review. Direct reserve call-ups are expected in the Southern and Central Commands as well as in the Northern Fleet.

Such large-scale military readiness exercises have alarmed the NATO alliance, which has voiced its concern publicly to the Russian government. Russia has dismissed these concerns and points to NATO drills on the Russian border as justification for the continued, massive military movements inside the Russian Federation

There is a moment of reckoning.

The Russians will realize that they are about to lose their nuclear stalemate with the west (USA/NATO) and in that moment of realization see clearly that the west is about to achieve an insurmountable strategic advantage that would severely weaken their ability to defend against attacks and their ability to retaliate if attacked.

For Putin, and the Russians, that moment leaves only one option.

All out first strike now.

Would they? Absolutely, they've spent many decades preparing for this exact scenario.
